Can anybody tell me what is applicable commitment period?

Hi! My boyfriend has defaulted on a credit card loan. Actually, he has a overspending habit. He spends money like water. He uses his credit cards often and does not make the payments. As a result he has now this huge debt load. His total loan amount is $50,000. He has no funds to pay back the money. His friends are advising him to file bankruptcy. But he is quite scared to file it. He thinks that he won't get any credit after filing bankruptcy. Is it true? Will he really not get any credit after filing bankruptcy?

My father passed away few months back. He had a personal loan of about $75,000. He had paid back half of the loan. What I want to know is that am I liable to pay off the debt? Can the creditors sue me for my father's debt?

I don't know if it is my thread or what, but no one seems to answer my questions. :( Everyone seems so helpful and I need just a little assisstance. I am still trying to find out if anyone has dealt with paydaywiz blue hole financial and collect500. I have sent letters to pdw and c500, but I still owe BHF. What do I include in the letter to them? thought it was over and done with, havent heard from anyone in months, but TODAY in mail got letter from collection agency on behalf of Eastside Lenders!! I thought they could turn over to collection agency if illegal loan??? Some help here guys!! Now what do i do???

What is the SOL in Florida for bank accounts that are closed that have unpaid service charges on them? I had a checking account with BOA and it was closed and now a collection agency is hounding me to pay $1,200 in overdraft fees and service charges. I wasn't sure what category this falls under.

Greetings to all, I looked at my posting numbers and realized that 400 posts ago I was $84k in credit card debt. Wow! It's been just over a year. Reflecting on the journey, it wasn't really that bad. I've been following alot of threads on here and have took the advice of cancelling my bank account and sending cease/revoke letters. I took out a $350 loan and the payments that i made to them paid off the loan. I live in NJ and by seeing threads on here, 500 Fast Cash is illegal to lend in my state. I've explained numerous times when they call that what i paid was towards the principal despite them telling me it was for their fees..

i am not getting a good postive response from my creditors when trying to work out a lower monthly payment plan or settlement. what should i do? I have sent letters explaining my situation only to recieve a form letter with no reply to my proposals.
