I received a letter from the northland group, to settle a citi card amazon account....amount owe, 1000. settle for $500....this account was $649 last yr in nov, 09, when i lost my job for a year....`now i am working but the late feels and etc now has it at $1000.....i feel like telling them i have been without a job since nov. 09, and want to settle at 50% of the $649....any suggestions

Does BB&T give you a one time refund on an overdraft? I know that chase bank will refund one overdraft no matter the amount one time every year. Or say if your balance is lower because of a fee (not necessarily in overdraft) that the bank took out, if you call and speak with someone they will put everything back no questions. My bbt rep gave me this card and said that i could only use it once if my account went into the negative but i lost my card for "just in case" i but sosmething i dont have any money for.

Hello, Does anyone know if these companies will work with you on a payment plan? I have 8 pdl and the finance charges are killing me leaving me with barely with any money to pay bills. Can any one help me step by step on what I should do to stop this. I have already closed my account and opened a new one but 3 out of the 8 pdls have my new account and dont know what to tell my bank this time around about closing and opening a new account. I live in the state of Rhode Island.
