I recently took out a loan from cashnetusa. My current balance with them is $1035. The due date is coming up quickly but I am unable to pay them because I just lost my job. Are they legal in PA? They are calling it a line of credit. Also I haven't paid anything on it so is that going to get me in any legal trouble? I just don't know what to do but I don't have anything to pay them until I find work again.... thanks so much for any advice you can offer!

Hello, I live in WI and am about to file for Chapter 128 which is a unique payment program that allows you to include creditors to pay off within a 3 year period. However, I do have a question before I send off my paperwork to the lawyer. In regards to the Cash Store, I know they are licensed in my state. I took an $375 installment loan with them and could settle for a lesser amount and not have bother to include them in my Chapter 128 filing. Has anyone had experience in settling with them before?

Just got a call from Mr Alan Robert who said he was from attorney Jones, Myers, and Associates. He said on 2/2006 I took out a Internet Payday loan for $800 via the internet, using my checking account as collateral...??? Used some company name of "BMG" was the plaintiff. He said if I didn't pay $2512.10 tonight, there would be a warrant out for my arrest at midnight tonight. He sounded legit and used all the correct terminology but I didn't use the computer back then OR have a checking account.

Ok-I live in Nebraska and I have read a lot of stuff on here and I'm glad I found this site. I am dealing with these two rediculous companies right now and how or way I put myself in this situation I have no clue but will never do it again. I currently have a loan out with both of these companies but still owe the prinicple on both of them. I have read to close my bank account so they can no longer ACH payments out of my account. I want to do this however want to make sure both of these companies are illegal in my state.

I have received a collection notice for a credit card bill from a collection agency. I stay in Graysville, Alabama. However, the collection agency seems to be located somewhere in Texas. Anyway, I have sent a DV letter to them. The CA has updated the account status on my CR as "dispute". I have sent a PFD letter to the CA. They have not given a reply yet. What should I do in this situation? Should I wait for a few more days? Should I send the money directly?

I live in Iowa and received a call from United States Mediation, stating that I took a loan out from a company called Loan.com. I received a letter in September from Wooten, Benson and Tate on it. I never have heard of any of these companies, they state they are going to charge with check fraud and file a civil suit also. I looked the number up online and people state that they have worked out payments with these people, one even stated that they put a judgement on them. I requested a letter of validation and the phone number and address of the lender.

Had a loan with Sovereign Advance. After I found this website, I wrote all the basic letters as advised on this website in regards to illegal loans, etc. I had already paid the $400 back that I had borrowed. So I sent the letters along with the cease and desist letters, and the stop ACH letter. tI did no good, for the next 2 weeks they did ACH withdrawls. I finally closed my bank account, sent them letters to refund my overpayment of $250, etc or close my account.
