I have settled most of my debt (40K)as of the end of June but have 3 smaller accounts left. Two of them though have been sent to collections as I just did not have enought money to keep paying the payments while I was paying off the other accounts . I would appreciate any help in dealing with the CA as far as trying to settle the last 3 accounts. They are: HSBC $3500 in collections Juniper Bank $5300 in collections Capitol One $2200 Should I still call the original creditors first, or should I try with the CA.

Due to a medical hardship, I need to get my mortgate modified to a lower payment. My mortgage compny had me complet tons of paperwor, and I provided them with all nec docs. To date nothing has happend. I'm looking for a reliable consultant or mortgage litigation firm. most ask for money up front, but don't provide information that they have contacted our morgage company. I am afraid of scams.

My credit score is a nasty 448. :( I would like to see it up in the 680's or 700 in two years. Is that possible?? I currently have 3 collection accounts (hard hits against my score, I know.) I'm working to issue pay for deletes on these accounts or settlement agreements with a "paid in full" tag. Are either of these options realistic? My collection accts are: Midstate Collection Solutions (tuition acct) for $331 Beacon Services (credit card) for $630 Cavalry Portfolio Services (HSBC credit card) for $1844.21 (I'm not sure if this one is listed on my credit report yet...

Has anyone ever dealt with them? My sister told me yesterday that they called her looking for me. They left me a voice mail saying they left a message with my mother (they gave her full name). They said if i didn't make payment in full by some given time then "paperwork would be sent to my employment. I kept asking her what she meant and she got mad and started yelling "do yo want to handle this out of court or not?" I told her i wanted to see a letter and them we could talk. She emailed it to me Nd kept saying she wanted to male sure I understood the situation.

I just learned from Bank of America that they sold my account to Collect Corp. I had posted last week that Collect Corp. withdrew money from my account after I revoked ACH authorization. I had sent them certified letter requesting that they provide me with proof they are legal to collect in New Jersey and proof that they legally held my account. Received the card back; but no answer. I had also sent them a counter-offer, RRR, but no answer. So my question is what happens now?? Will they be able to sue me? Account balance is $13,500.

I have an HSBC Orchard Bank Mastercard that was sold to Cavalry Portfolio Services. The amount Orchard says I owe is $1830.42 and Cavalry says I owe $1844.21. I am a full time student. I make about $500 a month. Cavarly is showing up on my credit report. I've done some research on this company and they have a D- rating with the BBB and there are hundreds of complaints. Orchard says that the account is no longer with them. I would rather deal with the original creditor of HSBC but I'm not sure if that is possible.

What if the debt was suppose to fall off my credit two years ago, according to what they posted on my credit report and then they list it again - so now it doesn't fall off until next year.

For a couple of years, I have rec'd calls looking for a Timothy J Dean. I have told each caller this is my# and I do not know this Dean. Ususally it stops then for a while, but later the calls start again. I am assuming the # gets passed with the records of whatever is the object of collection. This week i was able to inquire and was told the caller was ER Solutions. The rep says my # will be removed. I really doubt it. Is there a permanent solution that will stop the calls looking for Mr Dean?
