I have a default judgment against me from 2005 in CA and was wondering if there are any good attorneys/negotiators that people might recommend to either get it vacated or to negotiate with the holder of the judgment in order to settle for the least amount possible? I haven't been approached by any debt collector lately but I would very much like to get this totally settled one way or another and I'd very much appreciate a recommendation for a good negotiator/attorney (I tried to find one but it's been very tough to find someone who does this as their main area). Hello. Glad I found this site. I live in the state of IL and I am in payday heck. I have internet loans with several different lenders. United Cash Loans, Blue Star Results, South Dakota Cash Direct Express, Cash Taxi, Pay Direct. They are eating up my paycheck and I just can't seem to get ahead of them. I read where I can revoke ACH and wage garnishments and I did try to send a few of them by email but I was ignored by two of them. I checked my bank account now and they sent like counter checks through without my signature. What should I do? Please help.

I have PDL's with the following companies and not sure after reading this forum that they are legal in VA. I looked up and cannot find that they have a license in VA but not sure and would really like to stop paying them any more than I have too. I have paid the principal and more on all but one where I owe $110 to achieve principal but have way over paid on the others. I have an online loan with One Click Cash. I have paid 1100.00 now on a 700.00 loan. I have 650.00 to go yet and they just recently contacted me to get my card number because their ACH system is down. Am I entitled to a 400.00 refund and if so, how would I go about doing this and how would I also stop them from taking more money out?

I had an account charge off and was told to call IBM. Does anyone know who they are? I think they are a collection agency. I called and they said they were part of the company I tried to settle with (unsuccessful & offered 50%) and can now offer 60% to settle the acct. Now 35% is what the creditor can get for tax write off. Can anyone help me figure out who I'm talking to and how to negotiate with this new group of folks. The damage is done with my credit. Now negotiating how much to settle for. Thanks!!

Does anyone know much about Alliance Asset Manangement collection agency? They are trying to collect for Sure Advance. I have paid back $900.00 on a $800.00 loan from Sure Advance and stopped ACH payments. Now this collection agency is saying that I still owe $913.00. It's my understanding that Sure Advance is not licensed in Illinois. Can someone confirm that for me? Can the collection agency collect on an illegal loan if the they (the collection agency) is licensed in Illinois?
