I received a letter from Phoenix Credit, LLC on May 21, 2010 stating that they are a collection agency trying to collect on a debt that I owe to an online payday loan company. When I got home from work and opened the letter I called the business. I first spoke with a lady told me that I needed to pay this off today. She would not give me her name and I told her I was unable to pay. I then stated that I will call her back when I have the ability to pay it off. At that point she said that is not possible and that is not how this works that before i get off this phone I will have this paid.

Glad i found this forum. Im way over my head in PDL's,I live in Kansas. Would like to get out of this Hell. Have thought about not paying since i dont have enough money left for bills. One major thing that worries me is that PDL places will call my.. References?I dont want family and friends harrassed. Also im not sure if i could close my bank account in Kansas legally. All my PDL's are storefronts with actual checks written. My only plan i can think of is get a 2nd job and work slowly out of them but... That could take forever!

I am in need of a physical address or fax number for pdlnow.com, I have paid them 450.0 on a 200.00 loan, have no contract either, they are calling my cell phone and even some people from Califonia are calling me at work. I need to send them a C& D letter to stop this. Anyone have any luck getting hold of them?

Ok, so I have a question. I also have a "line of credit" with First America Credit for $700. When I first got this, he said I would pay $70 each time with part going to interest and part to principle. Well, the first payment only went to advance fee. No principle. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with this? I mean, the payments are not that much but I don't want to keep paying 70 each time toward nothing. I live in IA. Are they legal to lend here? Are they a pdl or something different? Thanks

I was in hopes of getting some information if possible. I defaulted on a $300 loan to Jet Lending and it has now gone to Advanced Recovery Inc., a collection agency. They are asking for $960 or a settlement of $720. I did pay Jet one interest payment of $90, thus bringing the principal balance to $210. Morally I feel I should pay what I borrowed even though they ARE an illegal internet payday loan provider in the state of Oregon where I reside.

Has anyone heard of california commercial capital? I received a letter stating they had purchased an account in my name? Need to know if this is a legitimate business.

ty so much for your advise i got a nine year old debt from rjm for an old overdrawn bank account in 2001 and was worried about them collecting on me Monday im going to send them a debt validation letter its good to have people that care about helping others if rjm gets 200 dollars from 10% of the people that they buy this debt from at pennies on the dollar then they are truly running a scam that they need to answer for.
