If you have a internet payday loan and they do or do not have a business license in the state you live in and you default and they turn it in to a collections agency. Can they garnish your wages?

I have had two calls from ACR (Advanced Credit Recovery). They use ACR when they leave a message. They have a new number I believe, (877-458-2506). Mr. Stewart is calling me. They are calling on a unknown number and I have received no documention for the debt. I am so grateful to each of you that posted something regarding Kemper & Associates. I received a call today....several calls from a Chelsea Walker from Kemper & Associates. She told me that I had committed fraud and a warrant was being issued for my arrest because of a payday loan I allegedly got in May of 2006. She said I owed them $1525.25 and to prevent the fraud case from going to criminal court, I needed to pay 500 in 4 installments and wanted a credit or debit card.

I keep getting threating phone calls and they leave a message saying they need to hear from my attorney or myself. They always claim they are with US Debt Bureau. I have two outstanding payday loans and with my husband being out of job, and me getting into an accident it has been rough. What can they do to me? Thanks.

Ok here's the story. I live in Texas and have 3 storefront pele that I defaulted in dec of o9 I've been making small pmts to each after paying the store fronts in payments. I guess the time I was taking to pay was too long so they sold them to collection angencus. The agencies do not want to make payment arragmebts at all and want it in full . I'm a college student on a very fixed budget. This how much I owe in each.

So the last few years have been hard ones and I've built up around $8,000 on my Premier Line of Credit from US Bank, and I'm just starting to get back on my feet and it seems like its going to take forever since I pay $300-$400 and they charge me $150 for my existing balance. I have good credit around 730 and I'm wondering if there is a way for me even for just 6 months or a year to have no interest on the balance. Thanks for your help and advice!
