Hello All, My bankruptcy was discharged July, 2006. Now that I am looking at my Experian credit report I have 10 items that are showing up as derogatory when they were in fact included in my bankruptcy and I have the paperwork to prove it. My first question is if these 10 items showing up as "derogatory" as opposed to "included in bk" affecting my credit score? If so, how do I go about getting Experian to correct this? Ok, so I had a collection (from the OC) on my report. It was actually deemed a repo, even though it was a leased car and was returned the same month as the lease was up. Anyway, the DOLA was 12/03. It was on one credit report and now is gone. I received a dunning letter today and have a question. My SOL in my state is 6 years. I know or think? I can't be legally sued. Is this right? Secondly, can they report this on my credit report because they are now reporting it as a collections with a "fall off" date of now 3/13. What can I do?

Will be sending final settlement payment to ADVANTA Bank Corp at the end of the month and want to have as much covered in it as possible, i.e. this satisfies the debt in full, etc. even though the agreement letter does state this. DO we request a statement back showing "paid in full". I am unable to pull up our account on-line anymore to see if they have applied the first payment. It had just gone to charge-off before we settled and it is showing as charged-off on credit report. I've looked through the letters, but none seem to fit.

I don't know how to start settlement, should I call them and say I want to settle and throw out a number I can pay or should I wait for them to call me

I have unpaid collection accounts on my credit report as well as PDL's. I am wondering before I pay them if it will help my credit score to pay them off.

I reside in DC. I have just received an email from Upfront payday/cashnet usa,stating that my account is past due. I thought payday lending was prohibited in the District of Columbia. I have read that Cashnet is operating as a CSO, I don't know what this would mean for DC. I know in DC, you must have a money lenders license to conduct business with District residents. any information is helpful and thank you in advance. ***Cashnet usa are they upfront payday?

if i sign up with a company to have debt consolidated as far as payday loans can they still leagally debit my account?

I was divorced 2 years ago...and left with Approx $35,000 worth of debt. I've been able to survive and still pay slightly more than the minimuns but I'm not going to be able to for much longer with the combinations of increasing interest etc. How should I get started in getting this settled/managed. I'm not late on ANY payments. Thanks Hev

I sent a letter to Instant Cash stating they are illegal in my state (Illinois) and have closed my bank account. The loan amount was for $300 and I have paid them $440. They sent me a few emails and left several messages on my cell phone. When I checked my account status last week it said "Deny New". On Monday it said "collections" and today it says "CKA". I'm not sure what that means. Since they are illegal in my state can they still persue collections? Do I just ingore them?
