Hello everyone. I live in New Jersey and I didn’t know that it is illegal for payday lenders to give loans to residents of New Jersey. I started reading these forum over the weekend and it is a wealth of knowledge. The payday loan listed below are illegal in NJ because of no licensing, tribal and/or off-shore. I have loans through: My Cash Now $300.00. Paid 319.11 in fees <- Don’t owe the because the interest I paid is more than the principle. I’ll demand a refund of $19.11 I’m not sure if I’ll get but at least the loan will be paid in full United Cash Loans $350.

Is this PDL company legal in California?

I have took out a $300 loan from this company. I have been paying $90 service fee on it every two weeks since I couldn't pay it in full. A friend brought it to my attention that this company is illegal and has no licensing whatsoever. I already closed my bank account. What's the next step?

I need 20 thousand to pay off all my credit debt , cash advances and my car . My boyfriend of 11 years is moving without me and unless I can get this loan , well I don't know what I will do . I am on SSI making 784.30 a month and I get allomoney of 200.00 a month .A total of 984.30 a month and another 120 . for cleaning a house a month . I was divorced 2 years ago and he was awarded the house , yet it still shows as my debit . I have not lived there or payed any bills there in 3 years .My divorce paper say it his house , so I don't understand why it still shows on my credit report .

I received a summons on 07-03-13. Iam sending them a debt valdiation letter today. I will file an answer on my own behalf. But I wanted to know what else I can do to prepare myself to defend the lawsuit. I've read the many blogs about this firm and it seems if your educated they tend to back off or go away entirely. I don't know what's happening with my credit score. My credit score goes up in some months and it goes down in other months. I pay my credit card bill in every month. In fact, I pay all the accounts every month. I have only one mortgage loan for a house in Corte Madera. I will be paying off the loan by the end of the year. Why does my credit score increase or decrease frequently?

I was not having much luck in finding out if Tremont Lending is legal in the state of Texas. Their home page says they are based on tribal land here in the US. I got a $400 loan from them and have made the following payments: $200, $168, $128 and $103 with a balance of $ 212.21. Thanks in advance for the help!

I have defaulted on a payday loan in the state of Louisiana and would like to know if it can be turned over to the DA's office as a worthless check and be prosecuted or is it just considered a debt not collected and go on my credit report?
