Asse Acceptance Settlement Offer

11 years 11 months ago
I've received a 75% settlement offer from AA. The debt is legit, and became late as of October 2009 with the original creditor. They are claiming in the letter that the benefits of this is: "A zero balance on your XXX BANK NAME account with us." and "A paid account letter upon request" The bottom of the letter also states that "The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, we will not sue you for it. If you do not pay the debt, we may continue to report it to the credit reporting agencies as unpaid." Now...

I was wondering how common of a practice it is for licensed online payday lenders to sue an individual on an unpaid or defaulted payday loan? Has anyone actually been sued over it? Thanks!

Plain Green Loans in trouble?

11 years 11 months ago
Hello Everyone, even though Plain Green is one of those that I had already payed off before I learned about this site and what could be done. I continue to receive emails from them. Today I received an email that states the following: As of today, June 13th, all future Plain Green loan payments must be mailed to the following address: Plain Green Loans P.O. Box 204271 Dallas, TX 75320-4271 Does this mean that they are not going to be doing ACH transactions any more, are they in trouble? Has anyone seen this before from a payday loan company?

PDL Trouble in MT

11 years 11 months ago
I'm the same one who has Western Sky/Cash Call- 2600 loan who has paid 11 payments of 294.46, well overpaying them. Also, I did go ahead and send letters to other lenders: I already heard back from 7DayLoans, who said they accepted my offer. Haven’t heard from any of the others.

Need to get out of Payday Debt in Florida

11 years 11 months ago
Hello Everyone, I live in Florida, and I have gotten into a tight spot with five payday loans that I was in good standing with and have been using for years. I know I have paid well above the interest rates that are legal for my state for years, and never really knew what my rights were. Now that I am struggling under the mounds of interest rates every 2 weeks, I realized that in Florida, I am only allowed to have one loan out at a time, with no rolling, a maximum barrowing amount of $500.00 and lower interest rates.

Legal in Oklahoma

11 years 11 months ago
When I first went down the road of remedying the PDL nightmare, I read that PDLs were illegal in OK. Therefore, i sent my letters stating they were illegal and therefore, I had more than paid the principal and actually paid more than that. Much to my shock and gut wrenching feeling, I just read that they are LEGAL in Oklahoma but are capped at only having 2 out at a time and with a $500 maximum amount and no rollovers. I was nervous before about closing my account etc but now I am flat out petrified what will happen to me. Please someone help
