I am in TN and i was sued a while back. they were garnishing my wages but i left that company and am now 1099. i found out they went after a account i had that was closed so i called them to make payment arangements and was paying $80 a week. i missed last weeks payment so i am wandering if they file a lien at the bank my wife banks at can her funds be frozen. i am not on her account and never have been.

Hi...I hope you can help. Like an idiot, I took out several payday loans which I am currently working to payoff. One company that I am working with is Lighthouse Recovery Associates who is the collection agency for OMG Group. I took a cash advance for $300 and paid back $270. On December 8, I sent to OMG a letter stating that I reside in the state of KY and that internet pay day loan companies are not licensed in the state of Kentucky. I was happy to pay the remaining balance on the principle. I received no response. On January 4, I received a call from Lighthouse Recovery Associates.

In Tennessee, can a pay day loan (store front) have a warrant issued for a bad check? It wasnt post dated or anything like that, but it did bounce. The lady that left me a voicemail said she was going to have a warrant issued today and I needed to hear from her by tomorrow, and once it goes to court it's out of her hands. I understand court, and if it went there, as much as that would suck and I will try everything to keep it from there, I do understand it. But the warrant I dont understand. I was under the impression that Tennessee State Law PROHIBITS criminal action on payday loans.

Hey all, just wanted to share. Bank of america refers their collections to this scumbag law firm Frederick J Hanna and associates, P. C. They avoid cease and desist violations by masking their number as Bank of America, in their attempts to get you to pick up the phone after a cease and desist has been issued. I have a conversation on tape with the bank of america rep. I called the number back and the rep confirmed that THEY are not calling me anymore, that they do not own the account anymore, and that is Frederick J Hanna, using their number on the caller ID. How suspicious.

I took a pdl out from star cash processing for 250.00 with a 75.00 fee. I have renewed this loan 4 times paying only the 75.00 each time with means I have paid 300.00 already on this loan and nothing towards the 250. I live in Minnesota and found out that pdl renewals in MN are illegal. any suggestions on what to do now and is star cash processing a legal or illegal company.:|
