how do you get a refund for an overpayment?

what do i do when a angency keeps calling me on my job harrassing me about a debt that i owe from last year? I spoke with the person one time but the way she talks to me is like i'm going to be arrested if I don't pay them this monies in a couple of days shes been calling me for the last week in a half. can anyone help me.

Thinking of accepting first settlement. The CC company is going to report as "Paid in full/ less than full balance. Is this acceptable? Thaks

I've been looking through this web site for a few days now....and I think I'm ready to tackle these lenders on my own...I was looking at hiring a company to do it for me. My question is can you get fruad charges or any other charges brough against for non payment? If I don't pay the full contracted amount to these lenders is that considered the same as writing a bad check?

Hello, Newbie here. I have recently begun to try to pay off all of my debts so I don't have to declare bankruptcy. I have spoken with all creditors and for the most part have gotten my amount due down to 50% of original. Still working on lower. However, I have two cards that have approx $2000 each on the , and I have been served papers on them. I probably had made a payment since summer of 2002, which is when my debt problems began.

I got a call from some one with national credit adjusters, saying they are collecting for two payday loans i had with mmg and with debt doctors. I live in ny, I spoke with both of these places and went over with them what i had paid in fees and payments and it more than covers the amount that i borrowed. Waht do i tell the collection agency? this was from back in 08 and they just called me yesterday, any chance I should try and get a paid in full email from the two pdl's?

I knew it would get worse before it got better, but... My Huntington account was finally closed, so I opened another with Key. Key called me on Monday and I went in today after receiving notice that several of my payments were returned for NSF. I knew that my check was (for once) sufficient to pay these, so I went in and found that they had received notice from Chexystem and that they would have to close my account. I apologized, said I was embarrassed (I was MORTIFIED) and went through the process of closing out my account.
