I pulled my credit today, i see items i need to dispute. How do I determine whether to dispute it with the credit bureau or reporting credit agency. Or do i dispute it with both?

This company rosenthal stein and associates tricked me out of $210!they threatened that I wud be taken to court for criminal theft charges if I did not pay, so of course I paid. Ive been waiting for a reciept for payment since the beginning of february. They made up some stupid excuse about finalizing the account first and now i cant reach them! The number is disconnected and now a different debt collector is calling to collect the SAME DEBT, saying that is has not been paid. :( Im so upset, im planning on reporting them and taking legal action, but dont know if its worth the hassle.

A default judgement was taken against me in 2004 via a credit card debt collector and is valid for 10 yrs. this debt is now well exceeded the statute of limitations(in MI). 1) Can the judgement be renewed if the statue of limitations has expired? Neither the original debt or judgement appear on my credit report.

I just received a call from a collection agency telling me that my loans had been turned over to their law office. (Weltman Weinburg) The guy is telling me that I have until the end of may to come up with 17k to satisfy the debt of 24k or they are going to pursue myself and cosigner on the student loan. I had been making payments on a consistent basis to NES until they just stopped in January. I had deferred my other student loans due to me being unemployed at the time. I was under the assumption that this loan was deferred as well. Apparently not and now they are threatening me.

Hello - I am recieving very threatening phone messages on both my cell phone and a friends phone number from a person named Alex Smith from a company called "Pre Litagation Services. This person is saying he will come to my home tomorrow and if I am not at home he will go to my work to serve me some kind of legal paperwork. He left a return phone number 1-877-630-6425. When called it is answered as " Prelitagation Services". When I tried to get information about the reason for the call the person on the phome demanded my social and date of birth before he would provide any information.

I've been receiving threatening calls from this number every 5 minutes today. 940-440-8111 the man claims his name is Justin Lewis and that there's serious charges against me from a $200 PDL. This Guy has a very thick Indian accent and calls non stop leaving messages with my SSN and other information and claims I'm going to prison. Anyone else get these calls and who are they really from? The caller ID says Aubrey Texas.

I'm curious if LoansNGo is legal or not. What throws me off is this disclaimer on their website: You should note, however, that we are a Utah registered lender and our loans are governed by Utah law, which may differ from the laws of the state where you reside. If you do not want to enter into a loan subject to Utah law, you should apply for a loan at a lender located in the state where you live. Any legal lender would know that the laws of the "customers" state would prevail.

Now what's the next steps? Is there something i should be asking of the CA to ensure everything is settled? What type of due diligence should i do on my end before sending money? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
