I just received two phone calls back to back at work from a David Williams at 217-396-3201. He told me that he had a matter to discuss with me that could be criminal in nature and that failure to comply would result in a issuance to e processed. He got my works' cell number. I called the number back simply because I can get in real trouble for those kind of phone calls. He refused to tell me what company he was with. He refused to give me an address to send a DVL. He just kept saying that I was going to be criminally charged and detained...

They are stating that because the loan was completed online that my states laws dont matter. It does say something in the contract about governing law. Is there a way around this. I am trying to argue with them that I only owe the principal because they are illegal. Can some one please help me with this.

Today I received a call from Sharon at American Debt Management telling me that I was being sued and to contact her with my attorney's name and number. I have checked the casenet site for my county and nothing is listed under my name. I'm thinking this is some sort of scam but I've received several calls the last couple of weeks from different numbers indicating that there is a "claim" against me. Again, each time I've checked casenet and nothing.
