The Debt collector that sued me for the debt I owe on a credit card got judgment by default b/c i didnt show up for the hearing. I know they can sieze things and garnish your wages. what if I am unemployed and do not own anything of value?

I have numerous PDL in Texas and finally decided that I could not pay the refinance charges any longer because every month I get further and further behind on essential bills like food, utilites and my home. I got a new bank account already. The loans I have are mostly storefront and a couple online. What do I need to do next?

I did it this time! Capital One is actually garnishing my wages. 25% of my paycheck is going to pay this off. Unfortunately that 25% is what I live on. I don't know what I am going to do now! I realize I did this to myself, but does anyone out there now if there is something else that can be done about this? I have horrible credit (obviously) and I know I will never be able to get a loan to pay it off. I am sinking fast and I need help!!!!

Have a CC account with these folks, so far approaching maybe 80 days late, a few letters and a few phone calls that's it? I can't find any info to determine if they will settle %? Thanks

How do I go about making a credit card settlement payment? I am going to pay a settlement buy I want proof I made the payment for that purpose.

I have a few bad things on there... 2 credit cards that are 120 past due, but I want to settle on those... will settleing on cc debt help the score? SGQ Processing, a PDL, sent me to NCA collections who have not contacted me or anything is on there, but they are showing on my report for a debt of 400.

Here is an example as to why I am hiring an attorney. Lets take the local law enforcement. Ever notice how a criminal has to do something at least a 1000s times before they are actually put in jail? Its so hard for police to get their procedures right, and so many times, a defense attorney is able to get someone off on a technicality. well, such is the case with collection agencies, and collection law firms too. They mess up so much, that cases ended up getting dismissed. Wish me luck.

I am 60 late on a 18000 balance with chase. They say that there will be a pending lawsuit if i do not pay within a week. Does this sound legit or is it a scare tactic?

I got this e-mail today after a phone call from them yesterday: XXXXXXXX, hello, we do not accept payments in cash, check or money order. We do not handle funds at all. We do accept payments electronically though. Credit and debit cards are the usual, Western Union quick collect is another method.
