Has anyone settled with Citicorp recently? If so, for what percentage?

We have been dealing with Asset Acceptance for 27 months now and they still have not changed the status on our credit report. It still says the same thing "Open Account" "Collection Account" past due as of today and the original amount plus interest is listed as the "Original Amount". Can they do that legally. We live in Texas.

I enrolled in this web site for credit card debt settlement. I was contacted by Clear Debt Solutions and after an interview they calculated my payments and charged a 15% fee for their work. Has anyone worked with CDS? Is this fee too much? I am new at this and need relief. I'm hoping this forum will help me choose the best avenue to resolve my debt situation.

I am presently working out debt settlement with my credit card companies, but could not do that with the timeshare we have. We owe too much on it, and can no longer handle the payments. Would we be able to Quick Claim the timeshare? And if so, would that be with the company we owe the money to, or the timeshare itself. Thanks

Hello all. Today I received a very disturbing message from a man named Richard Horowitz stating I have been "served" due to a legal matter. To get more information and avoid further legal proceedings, I was to call 866-660-2906 and reference my docket number. I called the number and was placed in "queue". When someone came on the line, I was asked for my docket number (no hello, no introduction, no name, no pleasantries, etc.). I gave the docket number and was put on hold. Then a second, different man named Robert stated I am being charged with fraud and will be sued.

I was wondering if anyone has any info on the following number. Do they have a website?

And that got me out of debt! LoL. I am 100% serious and its 100% true. Getting married should make you realize that its time to get smart and stop playing dumb.

and tell them you lost your job or you dont make enough money WHILE you are CURRENT on your Credit Card. They will freeze your account! You will not be able to use your card anymore! So then you are only left with making payments to them and they will not reinstate your card unless your credit is really good. I made the mistake I know!

As I have posted in the Lifeguard Financial thread. They open companies constantly, have decent web designers, keep changing contracts. They all use noteworld.com to get your payments. They are affiliated with noteworld.com somehow, couldn't get a solid answer. noteworld.com will never help u get your money back or report fraud. Your on your own, you need to report it to the FBI, your local police and news agencies. Dont fall for the trap, they will take your money, close shop in 9 months to set up a new company and rip more people off before anyone ever completes the program.
