I was wondering if anyone here could tell me when the IRS would consider it necessary to contact a person's neighbors, and the type of questions the IRS would ask them -- as I'd hate to have my neighbors know I'm having financial problems. I am in dire need of getting in touch with a user on this forum by the name of "Chris L In NC"--a consumer lawyer. By a stroke of luck and after many countless hours of research online about judgements, CC debts, summons, SOL, consumer rights, etc. I stumbled upon an answer that "Chris L In NC" had responded to last Nov. 2008 to a question about a debt collectors Unifund CCR Partners and Sessoms & Rogers--and her quote was "Fight them! They are a paper tiger." and that they may have violated some practices in the state of NC.

Is there a special letter or process that you use to request validation on a medical collection? Also, do medical collections come off of your report in seven years?

I have 6 payday loans, 4 storefront and 2 internet. I am paying $772 per month in loans, and not even touching the actual principal. I need help to get these paid off/consolidated. I live in SC and am not too familiar with the laws and regulations. IS THERE HELP?

Hi, Here's a little run down on my situation... I had perfect credit until I moved out of the country. I took with me my two US credit cards which I owed money on and continued paying. After about a year, I was attending school full-time, working part-time, etc. and got behind on payments. I then got slammed with late fees, etc. and eventually stopped paying them because I was overwhelmed and unable to. Sometime in early 2005, I received one collection agency letter from only one of the cards and that was it. I never heard from any debt collectors again.

please help i just saw my credit report and capone auto put a judgement aganist me and i was not on the loan. i took over my alling dads carpayments but i was never on the loan can they do that to me.thank you
