Hello. I'm Leslie, from California. I have six (actually four) payday loans that I've debated on whether or not to consolidate. I tried PDL Assistance, but am contemplating cancelling their contract because of bad things I heard about their company. Then another one called Your Pay Day Loan Help coming from paydayloanescape.com called me, with a similar offer. I was forced to pay off a loan with Kingston Financial, Midland Fiancial and Star Cash Processing with my last paycheck because all of them threatened me with legal action against me.

I have my third loan out with theviploanshop.com. I am pretty sure that they are illegal because I can not seem to locate them on the CA licensee page. Also, I have no way to see my account online, and they list no contact information except for a phone number to get a new loan. This company has an automatic renewall process, and therefore continues to renew my loan week after week! Not only that, the fees for renewals keep going up, and now are at $120 dollars every two weeks just in renewal costs!!

I have a loan out with paydaymax.com, and have found out that they are licensed from some place called, Grenada..?? I think that this is overseas, but not sure. I also am unable to find a license number for them.Are they legal or illegal? I live in California. The loan was online for $320 I have paid $439.12 so far I can't afford more interest, What do I do now?

I recently took out a loan with thecashspot.com, who are licensed out of Delaware, under the name of American Consumer Credit, LLC. I live in California, and am wondering if they are legal in CA? On their front page, it lists the states that they are not allowed to lend to, and amongst them is a few states, as well as Sacremento, CA...? I am confused with that. I also looked under the CA licensing authorities, and could not find their names.

Has anyone had any phone calls from someone named Courtney with Shana Myers & Associates? They leave messages saying I'm going to be served, but I have no idea what they are calling about. I have received nothing in the mail from them, but they have called at my office and threatened legal action. They do not have a BBB listing, but I found them on the internet with a post office box address in Getzville, NY.

I settled nearly all my debt with this much to go Discover 6000 Juniper Barclays 3400 Shell citi card 2600 My credit is destroyed from settling all my other accounts 100000 worth - and getting on a repayment program with house - so I should just attempt these as well? Any thoughts? They are all current and will miss first payment in August as my wife's summer job is over. The other accounts settled in 120 - 180 days? Any thoughts. This sight got me through some rough times. I thank You.

Hello Im writing this with a very heavy heart which is broken. In Dec of 2008 I took out a total of (3)PDLS with the following companies (OutBack Bucks Loans), (UsFastCash), and Pack Management. I paid off 2 and had Outback Bucks left. Recently I have received verocious/threatening calls from a man who references himself as Shane Lee from Financial Accountablity Assoc Federal Legislation Law Firm # (951)543-4949/ 1(415)200-0257# (951)543-4948.

I received a phone call from work today from a company stating that I owed a payday loan and if I did not pay it I would have criminal charges brought against me immediately. They told me that I would be charged with check fraud among other things. They would not give me the company name or a physical address. They were demanding a fax that stated my intent to pay, the amount I would pay, my social security number, and debit card numbers. When I asked them to send me proof of debt the refused stating that they send emails.

I have had several cc's charged off, and a car repo'ed with a $12000 deficiency balance. I have hired a BK attorney, and have given his name and number to all of the collectors that have called me. It seems like every time I do this, within a couple of weeks, a new collector calls for the account. I do not know if they are just transferring the account, or actually purchasing them. What I am really wondering about is if I should still receive a dunning letter after I give the the BK attorney contact info?

I need help...I'm literally swimming in payday loans. I have four but I NEED to know if they are legal, especially two that seem to definelty be taking advantage of me...mypaydayloan.com and Loanshop/Viking...Are they legal? Because their fees seem to be getting higher and higher...should I be closing my checking account?? :cry:
