Has anybody used this debt settlement firm before, or know anything about them?

i don't understand much about forbearance but i recieved a letter today and i stated that placed a hold on our foreclosure for 60 days due to the amount of equity in the property. so we have to the 8/23/09, we is the time so short

Has anyone had any success with pay for delete letters to collection agencies? I sent 2 out 06/19/2009 but haven't received any response back from the collection agencies. Does anyone have a sample letter in case they don't write back? Thanks!

Okay, so i'll preface this by saying, i did some stupid things along the way of taking care of this. See if you can find them all! I had got served papers by the local sheriff, stating that i was being sued for a debt. The collectors were Morgan and Pottinger, in Louisville. (I'm in Kentucky) I called them to see what the deal was, and they never really told me who it was that they were collecting the debt for, but told me i could settle. The total was ~$1532. I settled for $1000, just to get them off my back. So i opted to pay $700 up front, then monthly payments of $100 for 3 months.

They are not part of D&B and the International Debt Arbitrators nor do they have 169,000 members as anyone that wants a consultation becomes a member. Buy American! These indians are just sending you off to other people and making money off the fact that you have debt! Horrible!

I took out a pdl 2 years ago and paid them for a whole month,the pdl loans were for $300 and paid $90 biweekly.I know that I paid them all the money but now they are collecting on me. I closed my bank account because of all the overdrawn charges.The pdl company has CRA and associates as their collectors and I haven't heard of them are they legal?They're saying that I owe them $1540 NOW for all late charges and there are 3 court cases out on me?Can that be?They want my references to appear in court too.Is that possible? How do I deal with them?Please help.

I have not been returning your call as of late. I have been going through rough times as of late. but I need the address in where I am mailing this payment to. I belive it is a fingerhut account.

I sent a DV letter to National Credit Systems for an entry on my credit report from an apartment I used to live in that I moved out of in July of 2003. I had receipts to refute the debt and sent copies to them. They sent me a letter back saying they investigated my dispute but they could not find any evidence to validate my claim. What the Hell! I sent them the freakin' receipts! What do I do now? Are these people that stupid?

I recently received a dunning letter from Global Credit & Collections stating that my Capital One account has been placed with them for collection. I am getting ready to send DV letter, but am confused on where to send it. The letterhead says Global and then underneath it says Capital One Bank and it has Cap 1's address. All of the calls that I receive now are from Global and are based at a Canadian #. I have found the address for their corporate location in New York. Can I require them to validate this debt?
