Received a call last week from PDL Recovery. I returned the phone call yesterday and was informed that she was calling about a payday loan from 2004 (9 years ago). I told her that I did not remember something from that long ago. She then wanted to know if the Sheriff had been to my door and they dont have to knock they can just kick in the door.

I have way to many payday loans and signed up w/a company called Payday Support Center to help me get of this cycle of payday loans. I have closed my bank account and opened a new one. I have also sent this company the intial fee. What I need to know is - are the debt relief companies legal and can they really help. I live in TX and these are my loans Checkngo - 800.00 Eastside lenders - 800.00 Purpose Cash Advance - 440.00 MyCashnow. com - 270.00 Cashcentral - 800.00 Cash Store - 1140.00 Speedy Cash - 860.00 I also have one in my husbands name.

I have sent e-mails to all of the pdl lenders revoking my ACH authorization and stating I would only pay the principal amounts. Great Plains Lending and Mobiloans sent me a response closing my account saying it was paid in full. However US Fast Cash wants a settlement of the principal plus $165 due in one month. They claim they are not subject to Michigan laws because they are tribal. I also received an e-mail from Spot On Loans agreeing to my principal balance terms. I am very happy with the three who responded positively but don't know what to do about US Fast Cash.

Hi, I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction with this... My parents co-signed my sisters student loans when she was in college with the verbal agreement that she would pay them back when she graduated. She was paying them just fine for a few years and then the student loans went up (a graduated plan). When they went up she claimed that she couldn't afford them, but really she just didn't to pay them because she would rather spend the money else where. I know this because my Mother went over a budget with her to be sure she could pay them.

I HAVE a question about rental leases. BACK IN 2008 I signed a lease but needed a guarantor per the application. I DID NOT make enough or have sufficient credit at that time .HERE IS THE THING A COLLECTION AGENCY IS REPORTING I OWE 4600 to this place on my equifax and experian reports. I don't understand how I can owe if I never got a guarantor . I've never been sued or anything for this. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW I CAN'T RENT ANYWHERE CAUSE THIS IS ON MY REPORT. SHOULD I CONTACT THE COLLECTION AGENCY? Send validation letter?

Hello, I keep getting a call from 216-536-3460. The recorded message never says what place of business this is. Just that I will have 24-48 hours to respond. Well...I looked the number up and it is a cell phone from Cleveland, OH. I'm sure this is in response to an illegal payday loan that I took out over 4 years ago. This time when they called..they told me I would have 24-48 hours to respond to a complaint otherwise they would contact my place of employment. Doesn't a business usually have a business phone and not a cell phone to conduct business?

Hello, this is a question for those of you who have (successfully) dealt with Cash Call. Last year I took out a $ 5000 with western sky. I live in PA. It got sold to Cash call. I paid about $ 2500 so far and defaulted in January, since I couldn't afford the payments at that time, and I discovered this forum. I succeessfully dealt with my other payday loans, and cash call is the only one left. Since I defaulted I have received their "exclusive offers" on a monthly basis, where they lower their interest to 94% and extend the life of the loan until 2013. Not happening.

This so called Government Emp 001 has been taking 275.00 dollars out of my account for months now and I have no number to call this so called Government Emp 001 please help

I found out netPDL is an illegal payday loan in te state of TN. This is what I sent them I need an email contact for you. This serves as notice that all communication must go through email. I have been legally informed that this is an illegal loan in my state of TN. Which means I am only responsible for principal and not fees and interest. My original loan was for $200 and I\'ve paid $550. Instead of a refund for overpayment I want my account marked paid in full and closed. I also am revoking all ACH from this company. And this was their reply.

My husband had a weekly garnishment taken from his paycheck a few years ago. He then switched jobs and we haven't heard from them since. This has been 2-3 years ago. Anyway now we have a joint bank account with one bank and he has a loan for a truck through another bank. The bank with loan sent us papers of a garnishment summons. We have no idea what to make of it. Please help!
