I own a small plumbing co. in Ma and I have two General contractors that owed me a consideable amount of money. I tried sueing G.C. and in both cases they filed for bankrupcy and was awarded. I was advised to sue homeowners dierctly but what is the statue of limitations on such a case? One was about 1 1/2 years old and other about 2 1/2 years ago. been trying to collect ,to no avail, since money hes been owed. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Re my recent query about CC'ing the FTC, BBB, etc below this question: I didn't mean CC'ing the PDLs my complaints...I meant the other way around (according to your "sticky" advice). I am writing each PDL the suggested template letter telling them they are illegal/I'll only pay principal, etc. You suggest in that sticky I cc it to the FTC, BBB, etc. My question is how---cause on the sites, there's just the "online" file a complaint thing.

Hello All Member, In such critical time so many people are in debt and want to move out of it. One of my friend also has debt and she is in such critical situation. Though she has a good job but she can not save as much money because so much she has to pay to creditors. So debt consolidation is a better option for her? Need Advice

Just wondering from other members' experiences...I get phone calls from creditors from 8am to 9pm at night. So far, I have only settled with BofA and that was at about 9am. Just wanted to poll those who have agreed to settlement terms with creditors over the phone....what time of the day did it happen? I am really interested if anyone who answered the phone at 8:45pm found better settlements or vice versa. Just wondering if the account managers are more likely to close something at the end of their shift or not. If we get enough responses, we may have a new strategy for negociating.

that postdated checks are not considered bad checks, is this true?

I have 2 pdl's. One with United Cash Loan Original Bal $450, have pd $350, and one click cash. Original Bal $300, have pd $265. I sent them both the ACH revocation letter, but have not yet heard from either. I did check online and both of my accounts say: We are sorry that we are unable to access your account at this time. If you need assistance, please contact us at compliancedepartment@their business name.com Have I gotten their attention and now what? We are going to talk to the bank tomorrow.

I went to my court free legal counsel last week and was instructed to send a Demand for Documents and Information to the plaintiff. The lawyer there said that that is same as motion for discovery.... OK. He gave me a template to work with. Looks like this: Civil Court of the City........ I set up a monthly payment arrangement with KCA Financial.. They'ved been cashing the checks but I recieved a letter today stating I have ignored correspondence requesting payment. What can I do they don't return my calls?
