Ok, So if my loans are illegal in NYS. Am I responsible for the balance in the state in which the company operates. How does that work??

Hello, Cohen & Slamowitz got a default judgement (actually two) against me in County Court several years ago when I was living in Upstate, NY. I had no idea about this until almost a year after the judgment, when I received a letter from an attorney offering to "help" me with my judgement by helping me with bankruptcy.

Hi, This is the first time I have posted here. I had a debt turned over to a collection agency called CPS Security in San Antonio. The debt is for some purchases made on the easy pay type plans offered by shopping channels, where they bill your credit card each month for x number of payments. Due to just about everything in my life going wrong all at the same time, suddenly out of the blue, starting with a car wreck and going way down hill from there, my credit card became maxed out and my savings were depleted so when they attempted to make the future payments these were declined.

I have been contacted by phone from Brooksville Financial Center said I was approved of $7000 loan and I had to make an initial secure payment of $836. Has anyone gotten a loan from them before?

After countless hours of research on legal hearings and proceeding on payday loans vs the states.I I could really only find 4 cases in which our states fought for us. california, maine, west virginia, and colorado. im sure theyre are more but maybe settled and nothing was released.. Ive sent many emails to the illegal lenders asking for a settlement. I am asking to settle for the principle only. i havnt quite payed back my original amount borrowed on the loan. for some reason i dont feel the need to pay anymore.I kinda want them to pursue with a case..

I am so grateful to have found this forum! I had a total of 7 payday loans. I have paid them off except two. I have one with The Cash Store (an installment loan) with a balance of 1200. The original loan amount was 1400.00. I have made a total of over 1500.00 and I am not getting anywhere. I just refinanced and decided this is my last payment! I have opened another checking account at my bank and I am closing my old one so they can't access it. I have another installment loan with Speedycash. The original amount was 1200.00 and I have paid over 1100.00 on this one as well.

Hello. Some years ago I have accrued a significant amount of debt under an old name. Primarily with credit cards taken out from two banks. I changed my name a few years ago to detach myself from any religious identification my old one had, and for the life of me, experian, equifax can not find any debt under that name, or my social security. I am currently dealing with debt i am trying to pay off. My question is, how do gain knowledge of all the bills I owe, etcc under my old name?

Please everyone i need your opinion on this. I lived in Florida, and at May 2007 my daughter make a international call with T Mobile on her cell phone and the bill goes up to $7000, and i am the line owner, so Tmobile go after me. T-mobile disconnect all our cell phone until we have to pay that amount. I call them asking if they can low that amount because that is way to much for me, after speak to the supervisor she told me i can just pay the $5175 and that all she can do or else they going to sue us. After hearing that i pay them the full amount using my sister credit card and mine.

I have a loan with western sky I live in MN and they are not legal here. I lost my job in june but kept paying until september and got behind on my mortgage because I was afraid not to pay them. I know what a stupid mistake. anyway i did'nt have anymore money to pay to I stopped paying. I owe them $361.97 from the actual cash I received. I have offered to pay this if they will give me a paid in full but they won't. I received a letter today from Delbert Services saying I owe them 2747.97 for my western sky loan, which was bought by cashcall, but they have western sky on their letter.
