How Long Does It Take for Experian To Correct A Disputed Item?

12 years 2 months ago
I checked my credit report with Experian and found two items to dispute. Since Capital One took over HSBC, I now have one card listed twice on my credit report which caused my credit score to drop by 30 points. This is one item I disputed and there's a closed credit card account still listed on my credit report that was discharged in Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005. Any idea how long it would take Experian to fix these disputed items?

Time to fight back

12 years 2 months ago
First of all I would like to thank anybody and everybody who has ever posted on these forums in regard to helping others fight payday loan companies. Unfortunatly, I myself have also fell carelessly into this situation. Although I kick myself for getting into this mess, the bottom line is that Payday Loan lenders are working illegaly all across the country. These companies (who are probably well aware of state laws) continue to ignore our state laws and grant us loans with ridiculous rates.

Payday Loans

12 years 2 months ago
I am underwater from several payday loans and am seeking advice how to get out of this cycle. I am renewing loans with each pay because the loans are taking all of my wages. Currently I have five payday loans. I originally took out the loans because I was denied a parent plus loan and was told that my son would not be able to register if I didn't pay the bill within 3 days. I was not made aware by the same financial aid department the because I was denied the PLUS loans that my son qualified for loans or I would have told him to do so.

I paid off my payday loans and they are still calling

12 years 2 months ago
I had a payday loan and paid it off about three months ago. Right around the end of each month I get TONS of phone calls from payday lenders trying to get me to take out another loan. I NEVER want to open another loan like this again. What can I do to get these companies to stop calling without changing my phone number? I am not sure how to block the numbers and it wouldn't matter anyway because there are so many. Sometimes the numbers don't even make sense because they have less than ten numbers. HELP!

Credit Card

Hi, I am a pensioner and accumulated 15,000 pound on my Lloyds credit card. I have always honored my direct debits. I have paid Lloyds for about twenty years. I am now unable to pay the required minimum monthly payments. I think credit card companies are irresponsible and contribute to misery of people like me. In my case, I never requested any increase in my limit but they kept on increasing my limit to sky high knowing that I was struggling to make the required minimum monthly payments and now here I am.
