In 2010 i got a loan for 1500 from think cash first bank of delaware...shortly there after my husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away very quikly leaving me in such a mess...Since that time i have been on welfare and just recently got on ssdi...I also remarried and was just aded to my husbands credit card accounts...Fbd is now trying to serve me with papers to go to court....the woman who called me the other day says the credit cards are considered assets and says i can use them to pay...

I have recently settled 2 credit cards, one before charge off the other after. I still have one credit card left with Citi for 9k. I am currently starting the third year of a 5 year 0% payment plan with them. I did not have the funds to settle all three credit cards at the same time, thats why I kept paying them. Also, I had heard that they are more likely to sue you than other creditors. The Citi account shows as closed in my credit report. My questions are: Are they payments I make under this 5 year plan helping me to rebuild my Credit Score?

One in particular creditor called today from Credit Solutions legal process department. Said they were going to file a Complaint in my state (Georgia) and have the Sheriff serve me documents and that I had to go to Court next week to pay the loan or risk being jailed. Are they allowed to do that? I contacted Great Plains and they advised me that they don't have a record of me in the system! ???

Hello! I have a question. I recently received a phone call from someone at a DRS collection agency? He immediately wanted payment from me for 6 outstanding accounts I have with them. I asked what they were and he would only tell me 3 of them. I did not recognize, but only one of them I did. I asked him if he could send me a letter in the mail outlining what I supposedly owe and he told me no, they needed my payment now to avoid legal action. He said they have sent me 22 letters to an old address of mine that I no longer live at. I explained this and offered him my new address.

Hi I am trying to handle Paydaymax and Ameriloan and I am based from New York. I borrowed $1,020 and paid 144.06 and 104.00 as an interest fee and owe like $875.14. I spoke with the (CPD) Credit Protection Department and I told them flat out they were illegal in my state. They said there willing to settle for $1,038.00. It doesn't make sense to me. Also with Ameriloan I borrowed $750. I sent them an ACH revocation letter. My Account is with their compliance department. There are also illegal in my state.

i have gotten a settlement letter in writing from LVNV but i was wondering if i could use a prepaid debit card to pay them or opening up another account with another bank strictly for that purpose. Have anyone have tried this instead of the usual money order approach?. in the past ive taken a chance and paid with my card but its too risky. in this case since they did send me an agreement letter i figured it wouldnt be too much problem.
