My husbands company had a credit card and we had to shut the company down. Now they are calling us to pay the debt. If it was a business card are we personally responsible for the debt?

My wife and I filed for joint Ch 7 the first week of April after both lost our jobs for over a year. She was able to land a full time job (thank god) last week and we are waitng for our 341 meeting on May 15th. How would this impact our case? The following is snapshot: 1. Hello everyone. It's me again. I'm the one with the mother who recently passed and supporting 3 kids on one income. The CA sent me a letter regarding an account that is past the SOL and the balance is almost $3000. I have no way of paying this. Can they sue me? Should I send a DV? Please help.

I live in Texas and had five internet payday loans ranging from $300 to $1000. I got way behind and could not make payments, so I closed my bank account before all the automatic debits began. I have been PDL free now for a while. I called Town & Country to have them help me pay off these PDL's and paid them their fees. I made payments to T&C for a few months, but then could no longer do that for financial reasons. I am now in a much better financial state and would like to pay these debts. I started getting phone calls in March from Tri-Financial and sent them a Debt Validation letter.

Has this happen to anyone and what happen ?

Is there a difference between your debt being sold to a CA or turned over for collection to a CA? I am wondering if the validation letters to a CA that is just collecting for the creditor are still the same as one that has been sold to a CA?

Does anyone know how long they will (or if they will) stop calling after you tell them you are filing BK? I answered the hone toady for the 1st time in 4months and let 3 creditors know that I was filing a bk13 after I meet with the lawyer next week.
