I just have been speaking to ace cash services at the 866 840 2030 number and have faxed them my pay stub info and direct deposit info, they said they could set up payment dates so it all does not come out as one lump sum but since i have sent them the info i have not heard back, i can not find a web site, although they always seem to be pretty decent when answering phones, They are supposeed to deposit 300 in my account tonight after midnight, i sort of doubt this will happen hhowever who knows. I can not find a website for them which is scary and I want to know if this is a scam.

My husband passed away in 2007 unexpectantly. The next thing I know I am getting calls and letters from credit card companies looking for money that I didnt know I owed ($50,000). I didnt have the money and my attorney told me I could file BK or try to negotiate with the credit card co's. I didnt want to file so I researched and entered into a debt settlement program. Well, after 2 years I have one account left to be settled. The co. I used has been thorough and professional and I couldnt have done it without them.

I'm new to this community and was wondering if the community supports its members who have blogs on other websites. Will they go to that member's website and maybe click on a few ads (without purchasing anything). Thinking about putting some blogs out there and using AdSense. You can direct someone to your site, but can't ask them to click on an ad. Just wondering if this was ever discussed here to support other members. Thanks ....

Just wondering from experience how long it took before you faced a judgment and then how long before you faced garnishment. I know it will be different for everyone but I'm looking for an average here. Thanks!

just sent a check for a medical collection on my account today!! I have a few more meds to go!! But i figured out by chance, that atleast for me, if i pay it in full wait a couple of weeks then dispute with cra-the med collection majically goes away!! I don't know why but i'll take it!! still working hard..goal is dect free by june 09...$1000 bucks left to complete whole process...we're working hard...keep you posted...

A Collection Agency told me that they cannot accept payments from me sent thru the mail, they can only take electronic payments, is this true? They also told me they cannot send me a copy of written payment agreement...is this true?

ok my score is bad around 565..i know bad..i had financial issues years(about 6) ago..4 collection accounts..3 cc charge offs..judgement 07..student loan late pay 3 months ago..open cc late a year ago...i think that sums it up..ok here's the good news outta all that bad stuff i have one unpaid(4 yrs old) collection and all other accounts are current...car loan paid as agreed...1 open cc(previously late last yr) paid as agreed now..but my score still stinks..any suggestions on how to raise it and how long could that possibly take?

Are third party collectors allowed to send you a fax at your place of employment? I received a fax at my place of employment from Tri-Financial on Saturday, 4/26/09. I was out of the office until Thursday and found it front and center on my desk. I don't know who they are and never gave them permission to fax information to me at my place of employment. I would think this borders on disclosure to other parties. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I just got a letter from the IRS saying they have no record of me filing in 2003. I have copies of my (unsigned) electronically filed forms. An agent told me on the phone to sign them and date them for today; however, that made no sense, so I just signed them, referring to the date stamp at the bottom of the form, and will mail them certified in the morning. He told me it will take between six to eight weeks to process my 2003 return, before they release my 2008.

Can somebody please refresh my memory... Palisades is still reporting to all 3 of my credit reports that I owe a debt that was paid in full last September. I am suing Palisades and the lawfirm both for these violations. (Lawfirm - FDCPA 1692 e (8) and Palisades - FCRA 616 & 617) My attorney told me that FCRA 616 &617 (statutory claims) are only $1000 each. A total of $3000. My question is about the FCRA violations. Why are they only $1000 each? I thought I read on the ftc website (and posted here by an informative member) that violations of the FCRA are now $3500.
