Debt validated...now what??

I sent pay to delete letters to a couple of debtors to see if they would remove some negative entries on our credit reports once we paid. One was to pay the balance in full and another was to make 3 payments. I know we owed on them, they're medical bills. Instead, the debtors sent print-outs of the charges and validation letters. Is there anything else I can do to try to get them to delete?

Allstate Financial Services

I need some information on this collection agency please. Yesterday, I wrote a post about them harassing me at work. But it just got worse today. I was very suprised to get a collection agency calling me first of all. They told me it was a debt from 2007 for a doctor bill. After I told them I had insurance then, and my bills were all taken care of by them. I asked them to verify this information like sending me the bill and what ever they had in writting. She tells me "No" I am not going to do that, and then starts yelling at me.

where do I start?

Hi. I owe payday loans to 8 different companies today. Tomorrow, the first one that comes out will take $635, and my rent is due in the amt of $450.That will leave me w/ $50 to pay the BGE and $100 for food for teh next two weeks? I guess I'll be scrounging for transportation costs. (Needless to say the other bills I owe will not be paid). I live in Maryland.

Bank Garnishment from Asset Acceptance

I have been working abroad for the past two years. I have no idea whether I was served or not. Today, I find out there's a garnishment on my bank account. They took everything I had..and I think they will take more. I have no idea how much the judgment amount is. I need to keep my bank account active because I still make student loan payments using that account. I have no idea who the original creditor is. What should I do?? Should I try and file for bankruptcy or try and call AA? I heard they weren't too sympathetic...

Debt Settlement Advice please!!

I am considering debt settlement. I have been reading a lot about it and have stopped payment on all cc. I have 13 cards with a total of 127k of debt. I have been current on everything. I am retired on social security and military disability. For the past few years my kids have been paying my cc bills and they are unable to do it anymore. So that is why I am looking into settlement. I own my home outright and recently took a reverse mortgage on it, so I have a chunk to settle with. Basically I have enough to settle 50% with everyone. My concerns are being sued of course.
