I got a call today from a guy named Shawn Richards sayin i would be arrested thursday 4/ 30 /2009 if i didnt pay. 202-629-9156. is this a scam

can u cancell this i cant aford that much money

Spiegel is reporting a debt that was paid off 6 years ago. What are my rights? What action can I take?

Someone brought it to my attention that we have 45 pages of unanswered posts. About a dozen today alone, I realize some are posted at odd hours but don't you think we should try to reply to all of them. I was going to post this to all the members but I wanted to see what you all thought about it! I try to bump them if I do not know the answer.

i have only 3650 in charge off debt on my credit file. 2 cc accounts and 1 lease account. cc accounts are scheduled to fall off in 1.5 yrs. lease account will hang aroung till 2012. i want to make these accounts appear better on my cf. should i settle, consolidate, try debt management, or someother program? i want to finally get debt free this month..or maybe next month..any help would be great..if this a duplicate post, i appoligize..

West Asset Management keeps calling me about my deceased, EX-husband's final affairs. I am NOT handleing his final affairs. What do I tell them to get them to stop?

They have called me 3 days straight. Today I get a call from a guy that says he is in my area a will serve me once he eats lunch at the dominos with his GirlFriend. I called the number to infrom them that I have sent them a C & D Letter and also hve contact the AG, FTC, and DIF. I told them not to call my place of business again. Do you think they will actually show up here at my work?

I have received calls from United Recovery Systems in the past month or more and lately in the past couple weeks once or twice a day I have received calls from a local number (I looked it up and it says the number is approximately two blocks from my house, creepy) but the person that has left the message leaves a number for United Recovery Systems. Are they seriously trying to spoof their number and using a local number so I will pick up? It creeps me out! Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

Hello Everyone, Kinda Need some help here... Okay well My husband Took out a Payday Loan Last year.. Called E- Payday Loans. Okay well He never payed them Back and Now they have a Attorny Contacting us Called Falzone Associates... I have spoke with Someone there, and they said that they are willing too do a one time settlement of 489.00 Which Right we don't Have.. Or They will start the Procedure too take him too small claims court and he then will get it for a bad check... Now my Questions is... Can these ppl Do that over a Payday Loan... We live in Pennsylvania...
