is it safe to do a MODIFICATION

Last week I began receiving calls from a person who identified himself as Calvin with Legal Affidavit Office and sometimes Hudson Law Firm.  He started by saying he had a lawsuit against me and the messages he left sounded like he was reading off of a script!  He called my work multiple times and my cell phone 7 times within 1 hour.  All of the messages he left were exactly the same and ended with "Call back on this number or you will be in big damn trouble."  I ignored them the first day.  The next day he said that he is investigating a lawsuit for fraud and other charges and I am in big

My husband and I were sent a certified letter of garnishment on his wages for over 8 years ago.  When he replied to the collection agency with a proposal to make a payment arrangement they said that we had had our time and we couldn't stop them fro taking his checks every week.  We are now told to file bankrupcy on his part of the debt.  I've been told that after rufusing payment so many times that it could be thrown out of court.  I'm wondering if this is true and how could be go about getting out of a mess that the insurance company was suppose to pay.

Is SJM Marketing illegal? I currently have 7 PDL loans and basing on my old bank account I have paid it off and more. I have tried to put a Hard ACH block on my account but my bank won't do it. They told me to contact them and have them stop it on their end. I have racked up over thousand dollar of NSF fees. Below is an email from SJM Marketing. I only had a $300 and now they are saying I owe $665. This is crazy.

My mother called me yesterday about some strange charges on her phone bill.   After I did some googling I found she was a victim of cramming.   It is the practice of companies putting bogus charges on your phone bill and trying to hide them as service fees or voice mail.   She is on a very limited income and the extra $25 on her bill made them stick out. Some were low like $2.95 so she may not have even noticed if there had not been so many different ones. She contacted the phone company and they are going to have them removed.

I am trying to dispute my credit report to remove a CA from there.  I am working with the OC on the account, so the CA has no rights to it.  What is the best way to dispute this?  None of the online reasons really match with that.  I printed out a form and am wondering what I should say.  Should i keep it simple like 'CA has no rights to this account' ...at this piotn the OC isn't reporting either, and i'd like to keep it that way if at all possible

I emailed a legal lender telling them that I would like to set up new payment arrangements and that I am revoking the ACH withdrawl. I got an email back stating that they will still put the amount thru this Fri and when it comes back unpaid, they will then send it to their collections department! I revoked it, so how can they continue to do it? Where do I go from here?

I'm going to be calling AMEX regarding a settlement on the 3 cards I have with them totaling 41k.  I can't afford the 60% they've offered so far.  Any recent settlements with these guys?
