just wanna give lil heads up. cause it happened to a friend here in las vegas. he's got so many bills that went to collection. and never paid'em ever. the creditor reported him to the irs and now he's gettin NOTHING from his income tax. so if you guys gots lotsa pdls/collections etc try to work with them even if just partial payments. which i start doing today. because i want to keep my income tax money. these creditors/pdls are being smart these days they will do everything they can in their power to get their money back.

Court Settlement

17 years 3 months ago
After going into default once, the lawfirm raised my monthly payments from 50 to 100 dollars a month, but I continue to pay 50 cause that is all that I can afford. Since I am paying lower than they want could I go into default again?

Sleepless in the Sunshine State

17 years 3 months ago
Until early this morning insomnia was virtually non existent in my life. I would go to bed and be asleep in seconds and remain in my dream infused state until it was time to reluctantly emerge. Tonight this was not the case. I found myself wide awake at 2:30 in the morning. My mind just refused to stay in retirement until daybreak. It was not that I was dwelling on my life that was recently torn to shreds and fed to the jackals of hell but more of a youthful anticipation of what was next.

Debt Validation Question

17 years 3 months ago
if you have received a letter from the CA sometime ago, (more than 30 days) is it to late to file a DV? I'm not sure if I received anything about the debt in the mail. But, I think I did. If I did am I out of luck asking the Ca to verify the debt ?

ACE cash express?

17 years 3 months ago
Well I thought it over and decided it would probably be in my best interest to just try and work with the legal companies myself instead of paying a debt consolidation company and so far I've had great success. Five of my loans are with legal lenders: Payday one, Cashnetusa, First cash ltd, Check n go and Ace cash express. The only one I can't get a hold of is Ace cash express. The email address I've sent it to keeps coming back as undeliverable. The other four have settled to make payment arrangements with me.

Send DV more than 30 days after initial receipt?

17 years 3 months ago
I had been a a debt reduction program. I've now canceled that and have been working to negotiate on my debts on my own. I have one account that is now owned by LVNV and being collected by Resurgent Capital. I received a letter from them when I was still under the debt reduction program so did not send out a DV at that time. My question is should I still send one out? I know the collection company would not have to stop collection activities since it's past the 30 days, but do they still need to validate the debt even though it is now more than 30 days past the initial contact?

Attorney Daniel N. Gordon In Eugene Oregon BEWARE OF THIS LAW FIRM

17 years 3 months ago
I thought I would post this to warn others about this shady atorney and his law firm. If you ever receive a letter from this attorney make sure you quickly check your local court to make sure he has not filed anything against you. This attorney sent me a letter in the mail stating they had a judgement against me and were now going to garnish my wages. Here is the kicker, they never served me to appear in court, so I had no idea I even had a pending court case. They won the case in default because they never served me, so I never appeared.
