Hi, I am very concerned about a recent transaction that I made to clear an outstanding account up, that I had. I need some advice PLEASE. I had an unsecured credit card that I was behind on, due to loss of a job. I was receiving letters from the company stating I was behind and that if not paid the account would be reviewed for referral to an attorney or collection agency. I was making what payments I could, and when I could.

I have a paydayloan that keepss taking $$ out of acct daily?? I need help in how to deal with them.. And get rid of this loan..PLEASE HELP!!!

I have just found out that payday loans in NY are illegal. I am will to pay the principal, but I have already paid triple the principal.

My husband recieved a call from a company that said we had gotten a payday loan 8 yrs ago and we owe over $500. The problem I have is I do not remember getting a payday loan that long ago and also the bank account they are saying we used was closed do to fraud on the account with a stolen used bank card, and further more I do not even remember ever having checks for this account. They said if we dont pay then he will file criminal charges of fraud against us and gave him an extension over the weekend.

The Dept of Education took my whole refund to pay towards a defaulted school loan. I am unemployed AND to top that off, the owner of the house that I am renting had sold it and I am in a real financial hardship. Is there anything at all I can do to get it back? I had a significant (above $30k) credit card debt that I settled for about 60% below the total amount due. Terms were agreed to in 2011, and payments were made that year and in 2012, and I received the settlement letter, but to this point, almost two weeks into February 2013, no 1099-C. I took out a payday loan w/check 'n go in aug. '12. I had been out of work for many months and struggling physically to work at all. I tried to work for one month, but had to quit sept. 15, '12. Doctor told me to apply for disability which I did. Not working left me no money to pay back the payday loan. They called my references telling thme about my debt and telling them I was going to jail. Upset my whole church family terribly. I filed a complaint w/the company and got no response. They called yelling, cursing, and screaming, so I stopped answering the calls.

I was pretty much dooped when i needed help in dec to pay bills and get my kids xmas, i found a title loan company i got 1,200 and i have paid 500 i thought i was almost halfway done and was going to trade in my car because mine is falling apart, when i get to get my balance they said it was 1,575.75 i flipped i asked where my money i paid was, they said the i was being charged 8.00 per day interested that i had to pay a ballon amount in november 2013 and it was a pawn loan.

I cosigned on student loans for my daughter through National Collegiate Trust. I am on Social Security. If she cannot make the payments can they attach my Social Secrity as a co-signer?
