telling me I had been sued, and could pick up the summons at their office or have it delivered to me at my hone address. I called the sheriff department, and asked them to deliver the summons to me as I would not be able to pick it up...they replied that they would deliver it as soon as they could get around to it...strange reply, huh ?

I have weighed my options of debt management and Debt Settlement. I am going more towards the debt management programs. I have 24k worth of unsecured debt. I have talked to a few companies and I am just not sure who is a good debt management company to work with. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just received last week a summons from a collection agency's lawyer representing a hospital regarding a medical expense for $400.00. I have a court date in 3 weeks. I have paid so many co. pays and deductibles in the last 18 months and might have missed this. In some cases I had to dispute some charges not paid by my health inurance company. My question is.. can I just contact the hospital or the collection agency now and pay this amount without going thru the court process. Do I need to use a lawyer to communicate or can I just do it myself?

I had loans with OneClick Cash, 500Fast Cash, 1800899 cash, and the Loan Shop online. I closed my bank account and sent them letters saying that since I lived in NC, I knew they were illegal. I offered to pay what I owe without the interest charges. I never heard from OneClick and 500Fast Cash, but the Loan Shop said my payment offer was fine. 1800899 Cash got nasty in emails, so I reported those three to the BBB. THey are currently investigating. I'm wondering what is going to happen next, but so far, so good!

Who is this? They re debiting my account and I cant find any info about them or the loan I allegedly took out with them?

What steps does one take for a debt settlment plan, and are there good debt settlement companies? I really would like to get my credit rating back on track. Side note, no bank account right now due to forced closing thanks to payday loans so they will not be able to ETF my bank account for payments. Thoughts?

Does anyone out there have an address for Lawal & Associates. They are on my list of letters that I need to send out. They are harassing me non-stop. I took out a $200 loan with Sagamore March 08 and paid them $480 and finally put an ACH hold on them. They continued to take out the finance charge without paying down the loan. They turned the loan over to this "Law Firm". I explained to them that I live in NC and payday loans are illegal and I've already paid the principal amount of the loan.
