I have an account with them and I have not paid them every month and am behind on payments. They keep calling me several times a day pretty much every day. Hello - I sent a DV w/ receipt within 30 days of initial contact from a local law firm acting as a CA regarding a debt of approx. $4,000. I never received a response though was served a summons to appear about 45-60 days afterwards. Since the firm never responded to my DV and I have proof of such what should be my next steps? Our civil court matters regarding debt collection are rather informal as the presiding judge does a roll call then all present proceed to another room with the firm's lawyer to discuss each case privately.

Hi. My husband just recently bought a house and I wasn't part of the loan but he put me on the title afterwards.
