will this have a negative impact on your credit report

Has anybody had any luck entering into a debt settlement agreement with CashCall? I want to begin that process but am worried that it would be a waste of time. Also I am confused - if the loan is with First Bank of DE, is CashCall considered the third party or the original creditor? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I was thinking the other day about who could become a mod. We really need some new ones here, since alot of our mods have been really busy with school, jobs, etc. The person that came to mind was Nascardevil. I know he hasn't been here a long time, but the help he gives is right on. He also is able to be on the boards pretty regular. In the past we have made others mods who haven't been with us long, and I think he would be a great mod. What do the rest of you think?..karen

I have just gotten a divorce and per our post-nuptial agreement my ex is responsible for an account that equals about $6000. It is now about 6 months over due and he has yet to pay on it. I have just been informed from the collection company it will be going into charge off status if the amount is not paid in full. I do not have the money and it will take some time to take him to court. If I bring the account current, which is $1200 and make plans to make payments, is the collection company still able to have it charged off?

I want to send cease & desist letters to internet PDL companies but because they are original creditors, I want to limit their contact to USPS or e-mail only. Does anyone know what the law in Michigan is concerning OC and C&D letters?

the proof that they gave me was just 1 page of a copy of a statement that had the charge off amount along with the OC name address and my name and address you know like a bill. It was not the ACTUALLY statment but a COPY. It took them 9 months, to validate. Some say that all they need to send you is the OC name your name and amount. Anyhow I would like to settle but dont have the full 3,074. they are asking for. I just have about 1,600 to give them.

The other day my husbands ex wife added a new upgraded cell phone to our account without our permission. We are still trying to figure out how she did it seeing everything is password protected. We both share the same name accept I have a middle initial on my account. We spoke with the store and all they could do is apologize. Any advise? I would like to press charges if possible. Diane D

I need to get a debt management plan. The debt isn't that much $1600.00. I thought there was a branch of this site, but I couldn't find it. Could someone recommend a debt management company that is reputable. Thanks
