The great words of Rod Tidwell "Show Me the Money!" Well guys I am taking a new job in 2 weeks. Since this board and the collection board are my favorites I stuck this thread here plus I wasn't really sure where it belonged. Anyway it sort of relates to debt settlement in that I will make more money to settle some remaining debt I have. The biggest impact on this forum is I won't have near as much free time to yack about my opinions though. :( I am not very busy at my current job so I spend a lot of time on the net.

Hello, Long story short, we had been working with a debt settlement company but have decided to go ahead and file for bankruptcy. We've already met with the attorney and he is going to file at the end of this month. In the meantime, I have started receiving calls from Brachfield and Associates (lawfirm/CA/who knows) saying they are going to sue. My question is, what is the best way to approach this. Hope nothing happens until we file for BK. If they do serve us prior to the end of the month, what's the best course of action? Let my BK attorney know, or request validation, etc.

So I am trying to put my account on deposit only. But my bank will not do it. I have been trying for the last couple days and they said that since my account is negative that the cannot do anything. Grrr...they will not put a freeze on my account nothing. I have talk to the manager, tellers, called customer service and they all said there is not nothing they can do.

One of my IPDL's was sent to collections with a company called icollectdebt.net. Has anyone ever heard of this company. The loan was originally through CMG llc. They just sent me an e-mail notifying me about going to collections. I tried to send them a reply to the e-mail address customerservice @ icollectdebt.net but that address isn't accepting my mail, just keep getting an undeliverable message from mailerdaemon. Anybody know an alternate e-mail address?

they were not suppose to take there payment until sept 30 and they took it on the 15 causing overdraft fees on my accoutn of 283.00 when i call they dont answer what should i do?

I have been slowly digging myself out of the PDL nightmare. I have this company and am not sure how to deal with them. I live in the state of PA. I am almost positive this company is NOT liscensed anywhere. I sent them the standard letter back on 8/18/08 stating that since they are not liscensed I am only obligated to pay the principal back, no phone calls, no wage assignments, etc... I can say they haven't tried to contact me, at least that I am aware of. The gals at work are great.

has anyone been told they took a loan form this company but never received money. I am being told that as I type this email. United Legal Department is calline me telling me I owe BMG money and fees. I never took a loan form these guys but they have all my informaiton bank etc..

If ca cant proof they own the debt . How can I found out who own its ??? So I can make a settlement . On my credit reports just shows charge off 2 of the oc ( sears and ge )just say they sold it off but cant tell me who too??? that doesnt seem right I live Fla

Hi, I just wanted to know if there has been anyone sent to prison for not paying student loans. Also can a person's retirement/Social Security or disability be garnished to pay back the loan? Thanks. :?
