A company submitted a DECLARATION OF WAGE ASSIGNMENT TO MY HR DEPT. I SIGNED THE DOCUMENT ELECTRONICALLY. I AM FROM SOUTH CAROLINA. IS THIS LEGAL?

I had a car repossed in 2006 and it was auctioned off now i had a server who claimed to be a sherrif show up at my work with a supena(?) looking for my about a 7000.00 lawsuit what should i do? file bankrupcy? i'm scared

This is my second post. I didnt know what info to list until I read some other post. I live in Texas, all loans are store front loans only. From other info gathered and given these are CSO's not payday loans.

I recently had a baby and we had no insurance. MCCI has now taken over all my hospital medical bills. Nascardevil, if you are out there, I am not finding them registered with the SOS in Texas. What are my options? These people have already reported each charge on my credit report. I have paid off two of the bills, but the big one is $16K. Help....

Apparently some bottom-feeding foreign collection agency has gotten a hold of consumers' SSN's and phone numbers from IPDL websites, where the consumers borrowed (and repaid) years ago and they are now pulling the scare tactics we see all the time - jail time, "downloading affadavits", sending you to the legal department, etc. Don't fall for this, folks.

I have a debt to income ration of 46%. I am about ready to sign a contract with New ERa debt solutions as they seem most capable and are accredited with TASC. Upon reading this site, I realize it might benefit me to have an attorney, but how am I supposed to find one with $200 in my savings account? I had been living off credit cards, but they are maxed. There is no more room for me to move. But a settlement company would seem cheaper than an attorney. I'm pretty sure I can't afford attorney fees. Any suggestions?

One car is worth about 2900, I have a car repair estimate of about 1300 that is wrong with it. The other car was recently appraised between 800-1,000 dollars. Has anyone who filed ch 7 been able to keep both cars? They have no liens on them. My second car is a camaro, it hasn't been restored and needs alot work, but I bought it in 2004 when gas prices were much lower. I have been struggling with paying my credit cards for about a yr now, I make less than what my minium due's are, and have been transfering balances in order to pay them.
