It is possible for a collection agency have a debt show up twice on my credit report?

I HAVE A LOW SCORE OF 590 AND A HIGH SCORE OF 630 IM ABOUT TO FINANCE A CAR.MY QUESTION IS HOW LONG BEFORE I REACH A SCORE OF 700 OR MORE IF I PAY MY CAR PAYMENTS ON TIME EVERY MONTH.I WANT TO BUY A HOME NEXT YEAR AND I WANT THE HIGH SCORE BY THEN.

Ok so I owe the colleciton agency for the overdrawn bank account. So I have a couple of questions. They are advising me I need to pay 273.00 a month for 6 months...I am not sure I can come up with the entire amount each month. I think I'm more comfortable with about 200.00 if I can squeeze out 273, then great but I can't comit to that. So do I send what I can afford each month? Do I send money orders or cashier checks?? Also if they sue me, do they send the summons to your work place via a cop or does it just come by mail?

WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOUR BANK TELLS YOU THAT NO MATTER WHAT THEY CANNOT GUARNTEE THAT THE PDL'S WILL STILL NOT POSSIBLY BE PUT THROUGH EVEN WHEN YOUR ACCOUNT IS CLOSED?

I am in the state of Georgia and since debt settlement isn't an option here, except maybe DIY,it seems to me that filing bk is about my only option and chpt 13 is what I am considering. I would like to hear your stories about the experience, amounts you owed and how much your payments were. I have about $34000 in unsecured debt. From 3 home business start ups in years gone by to a job loss last year. Supplementing income with credit, saw no other choice at the time. There are tales of DIY settlement, but I don't have thousands of dollars saved up to settle myself.

I took out multiple PDL's in July and am now trying to get out of the mess I created. The companies I am dealing with are World Wide Cash (Telemarica) Impact Cash Payday loans Big Limited United Cash Loans Acceptable Payday Loans Almost 1450 in loans I have had the int or loan fee taken out of my checking account 2X now for each loan. What are the laws in Arizona. What do I do to stop them from continuing to take money from my account. Do I close my account? I'm willing to pay back the amount borrowed but not these outrageous fees. :shock:

I checked equifax CR 7/2007 and Verizon Wireless was listed as a charge-off status. It was first reported to equifax 5/2002. The date of last activity was 7/2001. A mortage company ran my joint CR(Kroll Factual Data-Residental Merged CR) with my spouse in 6/2008. It listed the account as Profit and Loss last active 9/2001. Finally I ran my CR again today 7/17/08 and Verizon is no longer listed on the 3 bureaus reports. Does this mean I have reached the 7 year limit for charge offs to no longer appear on my CR?

Hi all --- I just need some friendly advice. I have been mulling over whether to do debt settlement or management since March and, frankly, I can't keep dilly-dallying. So I was hoping to get some feedback to help me reach my decision. **Note: I know the difference between how both work, so I don't need advice on that aspect. I am a married graduate student saddled with $23,000 in CC debt over several accounts (the largest is $6,500). We are getting nowhere with our debt and can barely afford the minimums.
