I was told that New Beginnings Debt Settlement was trustworthy and effective debt settlement organization to deal with. Could anyone please deny or confirm this rumor. Do they only deal with one account at a time? Thanks y'all bless you

 

They keep reselling a debt I paid off long ago

Hi! A year ago I was contacted by an attorney's office saying they are trying to collect a debt from me, original creditor being Maryland National Bank (MBNA). This was a credit card balance I had paid off long ago and I had never even been late with the payments. In fact, on my 3 credit reports, one says the account is in good standing, one says I owe them $10 but it has not gone to collections, and only Experian says that I owe them thousands of $$, which is what they claim. I answered with a c&d letter and never heard from them again.

Well, after much research and soul-seaching, we have decided to go through debt-settlement. We are using E-limidebt. My brother went through them a couple years ago and recommended them highly. We have $60000+ in debt. I'm nervous but also happy to finally have an end in sight. E-limidebt, don't forget the - , has a B+ rating with the BBB and I so far haven't found anything bad about them. And trust me, I've looked. Does anyone else have any experience with them?

 

charge-off?

I just checked my credit report and apparently three of my four delinquent accounts are reporting as charged-off. Only one has been sent to a CA. Does anyone know what will happen to the "Charge-off" status once I settle the debt? Will "charge-off" disappear and be replaced with "settled"? Thanks!

Does anyone know how long you have to respond if a suit is filed in Pennsylvania? I have had a rough time dealign with Asset Acceptance. I'm not sure if they have even done anything but my mail has been on hold since July 30th (long story) and I won't be able to get mail again until Saturday. I'm not even sure if anything happened but I don't want to have missed my chance...I read on here they attempt to get a lot of default judgments.

this is not a question, but a statement. it probably my suspision, but all of these places i have never heard of before are sending me emials and calling me to get me to take out loans. i think some of them are traps because i closed out my checking account so the only way for them to get access to the new one is to solicit my info which i refuse to do i am down to my last $2.00 and $1.00 of that will pay for my coffee tonite at my second job i refuse to do anymore loans. if i have to suffer a little so be it.

James Lombardo was the director of operations for a USOBA accredited company in fact, the first fully accredited company wit USOBA for 2 years straight before any other company could pass USOBA's compliance audit. James also served as the "Co-Chairperson" of the USOBA Standards Committee responsible for drafting the requirements for USOBA's Accreditation Program. -This information was provided to me by the Director of Operations for USOBA.

 

I'm drowning in payday loan debt in Colorado-please help

Hi, I'm up to my eyeballs in (in store) payday loan debt and have tried all the online consolidation websites and been told they cannot help me because of the law here in Colorado. I have 9 loans right now for $500 plus $75 fee per that I cannot pay even the fees on which are due 8/15. The stores are: Payday Express Paycheck Loans Ace Cash Express Emergency Cash EZ Money Moneytree Check Into Cash Advance America Mr. Four Star Please help-I don't know what to do. Sued by bank due to PDL overdrafts

A little over two years ago, I was in the PDL mess with 6 PDLs. My bank account went into the negative due to one forgetten charge of $9.98 (totally my fault). The balance quickly grew to negative $86 due to overdraft fees, because another $1.50 ATM fee went through which they also charged me overdraft fees for (totally unfair). While my account was only negative $86, I tried a million times to talk to anyone possible at the bank to help me with this small negative balance - reverse the fees, freeze my account, close my account, make it deposit only, EVERYTHING!
