Hi. We are getting married next week and have been applying the financial peace debt snowball and budget plan...just have too much debt to get it rolling. We just transferred $7,000 of our higher interest credit card debt to 0 APR for 12-18 months (total of 4 credit card accounts). Now, if we can just consolidate the remaining debt (combination of 2 secured high interest loans and one unsecured loan lower interest loan and 2 high interest credit cards) into one low interest loan and lower our monthly payment, we may be able to assure that we can pay off the 0 APR before the deadline.

I just recently moved from TX to KY, and just purchased a new house. I mention this because less than 2 weeks of the new home purchase my credit report must have been updated. Both my wife and I received phone calls from the CA today. They said that KY's SOL is 15 years, and I need to settle the payment with them. The debt was originally from Discover card and is not on my credit report because it is back from 2001. I am not sure if I need to be concerned here or not.

I got a call last week, and I think I confirmed the debt (orally, over the phone) before actually receiving a validation of the debt. Now that I'm reading more about it, I think that was a mistake. So, the question is: what if I already confirmed the debt on the phone?

I have several registratin loans in AZ and have been unable to pay them for the last few months. My bank is the lein holder on the car. I have registration loans, where they asked for the registration and did loans on it. Can they take my car if the bank holds the lein?

I have been reading the forums for a while, but I am still not sure if all my Payday lenders are illegal or not. If I am reading right, all internet payday loans are illegal in Virgina, is that right? What about installment loans? I have one installment loan with netcredit.com and also a line of credit with CashNetUSA, Is CashNetUSA legal? Anyway, I am over my head and going crazy. Tomorrow I am going to close my bank account and I am sick to my stomach with the thought of all the collection calls I am going to get and really scared that these companies will call my job.

A man has called me and told me that I would be arrested if I did not pay off my payday loans by this time today. That the nc state's attorney would send a sheriff out to my place of employment, because payday loans are illegal and i had broken the law. I did not know that they were illegal and that I could get in trouble for getting them.

I was told by my bank, USAA, that if I closed my checking account that it could be reopened if the payday loans send in the ACH authorization even after I've sent in an ACH revocation to them. They stated that they would contact the payday loan services to obtain my contract and if I signed a contract, I'm held liable to the contract. I have three loans: Mobiloan, Great Plains and Plain Green. I live in Georgia. Is this true? Thanks,

I would like to know if American Web Loan is licensed in the State of Michigan? I took out a $600 loan with this company in March, and up until the end of August, I paid them $1,881.00. They kept taking out $171 out of my account every two weeks. Make a long story short, my bank account was impacted by identify theft which caused their withdrawals to bounce back. Now their settlement department wants me to pay them $1013.00. I don't know how to proceed. They are crooks - I have paid them the interest and the principle 3 times.. Thank you for anyone's assistance.
