i sent a pay for delete letter to a collection company that has bought some debt off CHECK N GO.they called me and said they cant delete it after payment all they can do is mark it as paid and that is fraud to remove it.are they allowed to collect this money off me any way.cause i think check n go was made to leave pa.and what was this women talking about its fraud,i thought pay 4 deletes are legal.i dont know i just hung up on her,i said send what you are trying to say to me in a letter...

They have so many forms, do you have to fill out all of them or just the ones that apply

My husband bought an investment property that he is totally redoing. He sent me down to our local building and safety department to get a plumbing permit. I misunderstood what he told me and I actually pulled the plumbing permit by mistake. I didn't realize that the licensed plumber needed to pull it and now he is having a cow. A friend of his who is an unlicensed plumber was going to do the work but then have another friend who is a licensed plumber pull the permit and go through the inspection for it.

I'm helping my friend get some help on her bills, should I talk to a debt consolidation person or a lawyer?

Hello, I am with Oakview law group doing debt settlement. They sent a power of attorney to a collector named West Asset Managment. West Asset hasn't called in a long time but now they are calling. I was told that a collection agency are not allowed to call the original creditor if they got a power of attorney from a lawyer. Any help or advice. Anything I can do legally to them? Message left on my machine today by a person named Steve from Ascension Services. Asked me to call 800-822-1311, x-230. Left a file number. My caller ID came up as “Private Caller”. Called back, a person named Randy answered the phone (who suspiciously sounded the same as “Steve” who left the message). Asked for the extension. Steve answered; I gave him the file number. He asked me to hold while he retrieved my file. Instead, I was transferred to “Ashley” who claimed that this was in reference to an old credit card.
