For the last few months we have fallen behind in our bills (medical and lost jobs) and even though we tried to negotiate with American Express, they sent our account to the "famous" NCO. From what I have read, they do not seem to be the nicest people to deal with. They call day and night, they are rude, and totally unprofessional. A couple of months ago my husband finally talked to a nice guy that gave him a break and allowed us to make $200 payments every 15th of the month. Well, that just lasted 2 months, and now, they are back at calling asking for their payments.

i have 4 payday loans and can not get them paid off. Can anyone help me get out of this. i am paying over $400 a month on this.

My account is Chase Bank,,,acct now with NAFS. Does Chase still own the account or does it belong to NAFS now? Once accounts go from one collector to another have they been sold by the original creditor? Thanks.. wishing it was over..

I am looking for a little help! I had received a call about a month back from PDM. I spoke with the woman who in her own way was trying to get me to see what a great deal she was giving me on payment of a payday loan that they had been assigned to collect from me. I let her know that I had faxed info to the company ASAP letting them know that I had contacted the Massachusetts Division of Banks who let me know that I do not have to pay anything above the actual cost of the loan (which I actually paid $40.00 more already) , since it is illegal to offer these loans in Massachusetts.

I see that volleyballmom who is a Debt Samaritan has good experience on this section. Also Lukeskywalker can me a mod as the idea person. I leave it upto the mod team to decide. Thanks - Vikas

Please help me. This is in regards to Emerald Marketing Group. I got an online payday loan back in July 07. The check ended up bouncing months later and then in January, I got a call from a woman demanding payment. At the time I owed $350.00 on a $200.00 loan. She offered to do a settlement with me of $150. That same day I did a MoneyGram and sent the money. A few days later I rcvd an email confirming receipt of the payment and a settlement letter, advising me that I was released from all responsibility with the settlement.

Hi I have gotten myself into a terrible situation.

I currently have 9 or so payday loans out and they gut my paycheck each week and I want to get rid of them but can't afford the 4000 or so it would take to get out. I feel so stupid. Any consolidation would be great. Thanks.
