what can i do if after the time is up and collections didnt validate an account.in the letter it stated they had 30 days to validate it or delete it off all my credit reports.time is out for them on the 12th this month.how can i make sure its deleted?

Around January I disputed with Trans Union a collection agency that was on my credit report. around 17 days later I got a letter in the mail from that company's attorney and it had a 4 page printout from 6/13/02 to 1/14/05. 29 days later they filed a small claims suit on me. Was the attorney supposed to send me a letter first giving me 30 days to dispute it?

i have gotten myself into a few problems with creditors. this had been going on since December 1999 most of my credit cards have gone into collection and charge offs. i'm being harassed by many different companies i never borrow money from. never heard of. they might have bought my account from my original creditor. they are offering me settlement about 50-30 percent of what i owe. is this too good to be true? what should i do if i do want to pay off these debt that i have. i really just want to pay what i actually owe to the original creditor minus interest.

came in the mail yeaterday. A money order for $425 from AIP. :D :D :D They never exlained how they calculated it and it was quite a bit less than I think I've overpaid them over the last two years, but I needed the money fast, so I sent it in for deposit today. Today I received a response via email from the BBB in Deleware and an attached letter from AIP stating that my account was being closed and that I was being refunded. They never used the words "paid in full". Of course, they did not admit to any wrongdoing, and spoke as if they were "accommodating me".
