This was a rather strongly worded validation letter I used to have in my signature. I'm rewriting it for better structure/grammar. Be sure to send the letter certified mail, return receipt requested. The green card you receive in the mail is your proof that the letter was received. During this time they are required to cease collection activity until they provide you with validation.

I have an old account American general finance. they turn the account over to another company. but American general still on my credit report even tho they turn the debt over. can i have them to remove this?

I thought I vaguely remembered seeing something somewhere about a Florida address for Star Advance. In the process of filing a BBB complaint they did come up as having a Miami Florida address and something else listed as Federal Fugitive Enforcement out of California. Does anyone know about either of these and if they have any connection to each other?

Can a collection agency garnish every last penny in my bank account? My bank never informed us of this garnishment. Legal to do this or not. We live in South Dakota

Currently i have 16 online pdls & 3 storefront i live in ohio. Storefront are in default tried working out payment plans with them but it is hard. I also have about 25,000.00 in other unsecured debt. Online pdls are 6000.00 including fees. Storefront 1200.00. At this point bankruptcy seems to be the only option. If this the only option how well do i pdls work as for leaving you alone during the process. Right now it has been just ph. Calls & emails. One call at my work. Need sound advice.dont really want to do this seems to be no other way out.

they repossessed my car after calling me the other night to make payment arrangements; what can i do?

I own my car, and thats about it. No house, just renting. So all my debt is in credit cards. I'm stuck going the debt settlement route right? Think you have to own a home or a mortgage to get a consolidation on unsecured debt right?
