i lost my job and wasnt able to pay the loan back i got a call from a guy name brad with National Attorney collection services sayin that i have a LEGAL CASE IN THERE OFFICE AND IF I DONT PAY 720.00 IMMEADIATLY i was goin to be charged wit check fraud and would get 2years probation and would have to take some type of classes at the time i took out the advanvce i was living in delaware .could i really go to jail or be charged with a crime please help me im terrified. :cry:

If i write a letter to my creditors asking them to reage my account ( bring it current) drop the interest rate to 13% and i will pay you 35 a month until this debt is paid....will that help or what would you do...were can i find a sample letter....

I have 7 ipdl's that all bounced on the 17th of Dec. when i froze my account. Since then, 6 of the 7 companies sent my personal info, loan app etc, to a company called "Icollect". On Dec. 20th I recieved email from Icollect stating who the acounts where refered to for collection. I called the original debtors and they wont settle with me, they all say the same thing, they sold the debt to Icollect. In the email from Icollect, 4 of them were sold to AIS and 1 to Unitedpayservices. AIS only had 3 of them and they bought and sold them in the same day to another company called NCA.

I need some help, I got a payloan from payday loan yes. I read the terms and they have taken money out of my account before the agreed upon date. I borrowed $350.00, they have taken a finance charge out of $105.00 today, and caused some of my checks to bounce I really don't know what to do. Should I cancel this checking account or can I just block them. I sent them a letter revoking them from drafting my account but what will keep them from calling me. Please Help!!!

I checked my credit report to find out that a collection company is trying to collect on an old Sprint long distance bill, not sure if even mine or not. It is past the statue of limitations in my state of CA, however, I would like to find out how to have this removed from my credit report. Any suggestions? Would you recommend disputing it with the credit bureau first to see what outcome is and then if not successful in the credit bureau removing, then to contact the collection company to negotiate that they remove from my report if I pay in full?

Can someone please tell me what Statue of Limitations I use? Is it based on where I live or where the company is located that the debt is owed to? Where can I find this information?

Hi Everyone, I know it has been a very long time since I have been on here. I had been on this site a lot trying to clean up the mess we had made of our finances. We had made great progress, until July when my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer. It was an unexpected blow, and one we were not prepared for. We almost lost everything including our home. My husband had his kidney removed in August, and was out of work until November. He still misses a lot of work, but at least we have another paycheck coming in again. We are in the process of filing Chapter 13.
