is there a way to deal directly with the government re student loan which was not paid on for 20 years. or some other way to help a destitute person who may be suicidal after Allied United's collection efforts?

These people called my cell, work and home saying that they have a file against me and they will proceed with legal matter. They left a number to call back and reference the claim number, that i must call back because they will put a claim against my SS and sue me. I live in California and have no idea who they are. I did have a couple of payday loans (via internet) which i found out they were illegal and have no business liscence in the state of California. NOne of them ever responded after i mailed them a letter for their illegal contract.

We filed for bankruptcy and submitted documents to my employer and the collection agency that holds a wage garnishment for me - they will not dismiss the garnishment and my employer continues to hold the money. I want to file a motion of contempt with the court but not sure how to word it - can anyone help? (This is for medical debt)

Hi, I have been doing a lot of reading on the forum about Cash Call/Western Sky Financial. I just printed the loan contract I have with them, and WOW!!! I didn't know half of this stuff.... I got a loan for $2525.00 in May of 2012.... Interest rate is 139.12%, so I will pay back $1400.00 on a $2525.00 loan? This is CRAZY!!!!!! To date I have paid them $1251.33 for interest and principal.. so I owe them $1273.67.

So - I have lots of threads on Western Sky selling the loan to Cash Call; however, I am a bit different. I applied to Cash Call and they sold it to Western Sky. I live in Maine, and have overpaid this loan to the amount of almost 7k - yet, Cash Call is an approved lender in the State of Maine...which I am sure is for their mortgage side of the house. However, I am getting ready to send my letter to them and want to make sure I have my facts straight.
