Statute of Limitations question

This is a dumb question I'm sure but I'm new to this and just starting to try and get my credit mess under control. Does the SOL apply to the state you are a resident in or the state you lived in when you incurred the debt? Also when the SOL passes does the debt automatically come off your CR or is there something that needs to be done to do that?

I recently started getting phone calls from collectors at NES. Right off they started threatening me with taking me to court and garnishing my wages if I didn't pay all of the debt RIGHT NOW!(they were pretending to be a lawyer) I told them that I didn't have that kind of money ($2400)just lying around and I am also not employed (I'm a stay at home mother). And they said that they would then garnish my husbands wages and since he is in the military that they would attack his pension (he doesn't have a pension because he has only been in for 3 years).

Hello all just letting you know that I had already received a refund in the amount of $1258.00 from this company a few months ago. But i knew that there was more money that should of been refunded to me.

I am needing some help and advice on how to proceed. I currently have 9 payday loans out and I've had them for several months now. I've made interest payments and have never been late but I'm having a difficult time keeping up with my bills as I'm paying about $1200 on interest charges alone every month. I'm in Kansas and 8 of the payday loans are storefront and 1 is on the internet. How can I get out of this mess

how can I increase my credit score, I recently got divorced and lost everything, also my daughter became ill and I had to stay at home and care for her. Now I am working a less paying job, lost my home and my credit report is a 450-500. I always had good credit before this took place. Help! Who can I call or sign up with to repair my debt and increase my credit score. I do owe a lot of people but I can't keep up with the payments. what is you're suggestion? Thanks Nichole

Isn't that a catch-22? If I had good credit and could afford to pay off my nightmarish debt, I probably wouldn't need a debt consolidation loan.
