All, Wanted to give you some info that I have just come across concering Bank Of America. I to have an account with them that is in collections and with a collection agency. I sent a debt validation letter to Alliance One back in November 2006 and never received information as time went on I received a letter from Nationwide Credit collection on BOA's behalf which threw me for a loop.

Does the SOL apply to the State in which the debt originated or the State of current residence?

I need to get out of debt and be credit worthy but seem to lack the basic skills to get there.

I have a debt with Capital One that was placed with NCO. I have been speaking with a rep named Anthony to settle this account. However, if I do not take their calls, since I only have a cell phone, they will call my mother. Apparently NCO did a skip trace and got her information. She is 87 years old and in bad health. They will call her every day until I call them back myself. She has told them to stop calling her. I have repeatedly told NCO to quit calling my Mom and only call me, since they have my phone #. If I don't take even one of their phone calls, they start calling her again.

What can I do when I can't afford the $600 per month interest on $1,200 in payday loans? I would get a better deal from the mafia.
