Hi, i am overwhelmed by credit cards. It is my own fault, I have aprox $40,000.00 in CC debt, some of the cards are really high apr. I have maybe 8 cards, I can barely make minimum payments. I do not have a mortgage payment, I own one of my vehichle outright- 07 Honda Oddyssey, I have another car I am paying off $328.00 per month and payments are current. Aprox $10,000 left to pay off. I make aprox $60,000.00 per year. My wife does not work. I need help..... I do not want to declare bankruptcy, but I dont know what to do?

Looser! That pretty well sums up how I feel about my ability to manage my finances. I am 52 years old and I'm not sure that I'll ever get myself together. I was a widow at 40 with three children, $86.00 in cash and a husband to bury. My older two children are by my first husband, my third buy my deceased husband. I've managed for the past few years thanks to social security but now my baby is 17, they want let me draw social security for myself anymore, and I have gotten myself in some real trouble. My oldest two children have now married and left the nest.

have you ever closed a credit card account only to find out a couple of days later that they never closed it and it takes you 3 weeks of calling back everyday talking to a different person who says that that account was never closed before they truly, finally close it?

the collection agency that i really dis-like is allied interstate they start calling at 8am and never stop until late at night. and when you try to reason with them and sent up payments they give you a outragious amout that they want you to pay a month like that's your only bill you have to pay. they care less if you got to eat or pay rent all they want you to do is pay them. then when they call you by mistake looking for someone else they will argue you up and down that you know the person that they are looking for.

Hello, I have a question regarding a collection I currently have on my credit report. It is a valid collection and payment is sought by asset acceptance llc. After reading all the comments regarding this company I want to make sure that when I do approach them about paying off my past due debt, it is done so correctly. I am trying to improve my credit score, something I have neglected for the past 6 years.

ever notice when you first start college everyone wants to send you a credit card even when you don't apply for it, well that's how it was with me and my first credit card i waited 2 years before i ever used it and i was working when i started. i paid on my dillards credit card every time i got paid even when my bill wasn't due. dillards even sent me a v.i.p dillards card but everything changed when i got sick.

I received a message on my answering machine today from Simm Associates saying they need me to call them to talk about a CIT Investigation. I am wondering what a CIT Inestigation is? This is about a credit card debt I had. Hope someone out there can tell me what this is.
