When my ex-husband and I first got married, we were young and broke. So my mother helped us by getting a two phone deal but it is in her name (totally). My name is no where on it. Hello, I need some advice about the situation I am in. I had a store and I dah to close it down because business was going down and I couldn't affotd to pay rent anymore. I moved my business to home but I am not making as much as when I had the store. Same time my wife lost her job and is now disabled due to a toxic gas in her office. She can only work part time now. I can barely pay my own payments; rent, cable, gas, power, phone and the lease car. I stopped paying credit cards becasue I had no extra money to pay them.

9000+ dollars in debt, mostly low balances, wish to pay off several with impending income tax return. Stupidly signed up with a debt consolidation company, and didnt cancel soon enough, now they are trying to take money from my checking account.

I waited until the last minute to cancel the service, and realized that a) they took the money out of my account early, b) that you cannot cancel the sevice by phone and c) that there is no money back if you are not satisfied, matter of fact, I may be out the $300 initial charge because I changed my mind. Anyone else have this happen to you? And no, unlike some HK posters say, I'm not a freakin competitor, I'm a broke single mom drowning in debt.
