I'm not behind in my bills nor can I not make the payments. I was just looking for a debt considation loan to pay off everything in 1 payment a month.

My wife and I have a combined 34K plus or minus in credit card debt and were told by a mortgage people that our best option to buy a home is to consolidate that debt prior to applying for a loan, and that is what we would like to do. Thanks for your time Dave

Hi, there. I am fortunate that my spouse got a good job last year that allowed us to pay off some debt that followed us for years. I thank God for His blessing and seeing us through. But, one very OLD debt remains and it seems almost better to just let it go from the financial talking heads out there. However, I feel very strongly that this debt be paid as it represents an item we used for 12years and someone deserves to be paid. It seems immoral not to do so. I am a Christian and really just want to do the right thing. So, how do I do it without really bringing difficulty to us?

I have an old CC debt that I didn't pay anything on. (happened when I was out of work) I pulled my credit report and found that the collectors have placed 3 items on my credit for not paying them. My questions are: Since the SOL on the original debt has passed 6/2000, can I dispute the marks on my credit with the various reporting agencies, and have them removed, and can they legally collect? Also I have noticed that the dates and names of the company have changed on the different agency list, however the amount owed and account number is the same.

I have about $30k in credit card debt and i am not sure which route I should go. I have been on time for all my past payment but just realize I should really taking care of my debt now that I finished schools and have a decent job. Are there any guidelines that will help me to decide? How's everyone experiences?

Well,I'll try to make this as short as I can! I had been dealing with LVNV for over 6 months,sent dv letters,follow up,etc.,and no reply. All they did was pass it among their many agencies,so I did they same with them,no response. Today I got a call on recorder from lady stating I need to call back, this is an emergency,but she isn't threatening me,but if I don't call within 48 hours they will take action. So,just for fun I called. Turns out it is Universal Fidelity-who now says they are also under the LVNV umbrella. It started nice-then got ugly.

I am unable to pay my minumum payments which are 758$/month on 26,395$ credit card loan at 24.45%. Most of my payment going to finance charges. Recently I lost my job moving outside USA for a job and want to know what ar my options to reduce the loan?
